You're sounding better and better as time goes by - stronger in body and mind. So good to read your post.
You quilt and do other craft things. Would you consider a small quilt with some of the winter weight hats attached to it, symbolic of the 'journey'? You could donate it to the chemo center or anywhere where you think the patients might get some use out of it. Maybe one hat in the center or off-center if >1 would be too heavy. Just a thought.
You must have the tidiest drawers of anyone I know. :)
I'm not sure what to do about the hats - I'd actually like to pass them on to someone who needs them but I don't want to give them to my chemo place because I don't know what they would do with them. As far as having tidy drawers - my OCD comes into play here.
When did you start your treatments? I'm thinking you will 'celebrate' your anniversary in November or December. Am I completely wrong? Off by a year? At any rate, I'm so happy you can write this post! FanSee
My surgery was at the end of August and then I had a few weeks off before I started the tough chemo. I had 4 lots of this chemo - once every 3 weeks - and then I had a couple of more weeks off before I started having chemo every week for 10 weeks. During this time I also started Herceptin which I have every 3 weeks and will continue to do so until Christmas this year. I've also started tamoxofin which a daily tablet. So I guess that chemo started near the beginning of September. Except for the damage to the nerve endings in my feet it hasn't been hard.

Ask the staff. If they think someone would have a use for the hats in the colder months, donate them.
If not, maybe a cancer organization would take them for people who could use them but might be short on funds.
