» Name: Ty Lee
» Fandom: Avatar: The Last Airbender

» Gender: Female
» Age: 15 mentally, aged up to 18.
» Orientation: Heterosexual. Ty Lee absolutely adores attention from the opposite gender and not just because it gets her things. In fact, she likes the attention so much she finds it incredibly hard to pick just one when faced with a decision. Totally boy crazy, she has even been known to take the time to flirt with Sokka as she fights him, often picking him as her target just because she thinks he’s cute.
» Personality:
Generally, Ty Lee is incredibly perky and optimistic, always looking on the brighter side of things. She’s the kind of girl that can go on and on about dinosaur kittens, rainbows and the color pink until you want to gag yourself with a rusty spoon. To make matters worse, she's pretty much a "hippie" of her time, though somehow without being too airheaded or mellow (most of the time). She’s the kind that would tell you to take deep breaths at the worst of times and point out that your aura is of a terrible color when you’re already quite aware you’re in a bad mood.
Born to a high status family of the Fire Nation, Ty Lee lived a rather sheltered life. While this had a lot of perks, there was one massive downside to her family life. That is to say she was born the youngest of seven, all daughters that look exactly like her. For Ty Lee, it was incredibly tough being a part of a matched set rather than an individual. Because of this, at a young age she picked up acrobatics, causing her to stand out rather than blend in with the rest of her sisters. If you stood on your hands and did backbends, people would notice you and that’s exactly what the perky teenager wants. In fact, she loved it so much that she up and joined the circus, something she claimed had never made her happier; her “calling”, even.
Thanks to the status of her family, Ty Lee was privileged enough to become childhood friends with their nation’s princess as well as another girl of wealthy status of about the same age. Even at a young age the princess was a bully, yet even when she pushed Ty Lee down because she was better than her, the young girl took it with a shrug. To Ty Lee, the mean tendencies of her friend weren’t that big of a deal, not to mention it was better to keep one’s mouth closed around the princess than make her cross. However, Ty Lee’s relationship to Azula could be seen as both a blessing and a curse. When Azula decided that she would hunt down The Avatar in spite of her brother, Ty Lee was the first person she sought out to join her.
When asked, Ty Lee politely declined the princess’s request to join her. How could she possibly leave something she loved so much? She later claims that while the circus was her calling, “Azula called a little louder” That is, Azula needed her more and in order to get her to join her, the princess resorted to scare tactics. And it worked. After Ty Lee’s decline, Azula requested a private performance of the circus, demanding one thing after another to frighten Ty Lee in to joining her side. After a performance in which Ty Lee’s net had been caught on fire and all the circus’s rare, dangerous beats had been released bellow her, it came as a little hard to say no to the princess’s demands. After the show in Ty Lee’s dressing room the acrobat calmly told the princess that it was time for her to leave the circus and join her, never once letting on to the fact that she had been frightened.
In general when it comes to Azula, Ty Lee does what she requests without second thought. Often times it seems as if the princess can do no wrong. To Ty Lee, Azula is pretty and perfect and clearly flattery gets her everywhere. It’s often because of this that to her “foes”, Ty Lee comes off as the brainless minion. While in some ways that’s true, there’s really much more to her than that. In battle she is incredibly fierce, using her knowledge of pressure points as well as acrobatic techniques to her full advantage. However, while not someone to take lightly, when fighting it’s almost as if Ty Lee often appears as if it’s fun to her. While her companions take on a more serious side of a battle, Ty Lee makes it look easy. It’s also necessary to point out that the bubbly girl doesn’t hate even those considered her foes, as if the word “hate” isn’t even in her dictionary. Despite being on the “enemy” side, she still manages to gain a small crush on Sokka and even later in the series she becomes friends with the Kiyoshi Warriors, a group of female fighters the dream trio fought and afterwards stole their clothing in order to successfully sneak in to the Earth Nation’s main city.
Ty Lee is very much your average teenage girl, worrying about things like the perfect complexion and boys to the point where at times she comes off a bit shallow. Where she loves attention on the stage, she loves it from boys even more. In the episode “The Beach” Ty Lee along with Azula, May and Zuko go on a vacation. While at the beach Ty Lee gains immediate attention from several boys, leading them all on without the realization of what she’s doing, all while basking in the attention. It’s later at a party the girl has to use her skills to get rid of them. Yet it’s that same night Ty Lee shows she’s not all happy fluffy bunnies. When Azula calls her a tease she bursts out crying and later on the beach with the others she retorts and gets serious when Zuko calls her a “circus freak”. Speaking from the heart, she reveals for the first time in front of the others that she likes being a “circus freak” because of her family life and the attention it gets her.
» Appearance: Ty Lee’s general appearance is that of a young woman with long brown hair and big, round brown eyes, usually accompanied with a grin. As a girl constantly on the move, Ty Lee chooses to keep her long hair in a high braid at the top of her head rather than wearing it down and in the way. It is very rare to see Ty Lee in colors that do not the deep reds and pinks of the Fire Nation. Even rarer is to see her in an outfit that covers her midriff. As an acrobat, all her outfits are fairly easy to move in yet still show that she is stylish and actually cares for things like fashion.
» Suitability: While Ty Lee is hardly mature for her age, she is highly aware of her own sexuality and completely comfortable enough in her own skin. Having sex every two weeks to survive is something that would faze her no more than acting as Azula’s “henchmen” and helping to take part in a war against other nations. To Ty Lee it will be exactly as it is; a necessary part of living.

[As the video feature turns on, the image seems to spin in what is clearly a room of the castle. As it continues, the slightly mystified female voice can be heard. ]
Wow, this is so cool! It sure beats a messenger hawk any day! Wait till I tell everyone back home about this thing.
[Finally, it stops spinning directly on Ty Lee’s face, entirely too close to the camera. She blinks a few times.]
Oh? Is it on? Can everyone hear me? Great!
This place is so nice! I thought maybe I was still in the Fire Nation when I woke up, but I can tell now this place is so much nicer! I mean, there’s nothing wrong with the Fire Nation, of course, but we don’t buildings quite like these! I can’t wait to get a good look around the island!
I should really thank your Goddess for blessing me with a second vacation. I’m sure Azula will be angry at first when she finds me missing, especially what with the whole eclipse thing soon. But I’m sure she’ll eventually come to understand.
[She looks like she’s about done now, but then something lights in her eyes.]
Oh yeah! I’m not sure what his name is, but if the super cute guy that gave me this really cute choker is around; I’d like to thank you! It’s too bad you didn’t stick around after last night.

Body tangled in silken sheets, the pleasant voice of a young woman murmured pleasantly into her pillow as she lay sprawled out on her stomach. Arms encircled the fluffy mass, pulling it closer to her. Ty Lee’s face was that of one of someone just barely coming out of the most pleasant of sleeps. As the sun shone just right through the window, already closed eyes scrunched. Just a little longer, she thought, nestling her face into the softness of the silken pillow.
Ty Lee felt as if her body had been through a state of aura cleansing of the highest degree, every last inch of her body feeling as if it had been freed from its worldly restraints. And it was no surprise as her mind replayed the pleasant dream that night had given her. The more wakefulness came to her, the harder she tried to hold on, not wanting to forget a second. The face of the man who shared a bed with her had been a complete haze, but she hadn’t yet lost the way his hands felt as they caressed her body and pleasured her.
A soft sigh escaped her lips, yet the pleasant expression didn’t leave her face. It had almost been so real, and it was almost a shame it wasn’t… With eyes still closed, one hand reached across the bed in hopes her hand would find another body. When all her hand could find was endless, silken sheets she opened her eyes. “That’s too bad…” she started, but when she realized the sight was unfamiliar, she sat up, blinking.
“That’s strange, I don’t remember going to bed here. I could have sworn I was on Ember Island.” Eyes scanned the bedroom, blinking around for anything that looked familiar. The red tones of the room suggested that she was in the fire nation, but where was yet to be seen. It did, however, cause her to wonder if maybe her dream hadn’t been a dream after all. It was only logical to assume that she had let some cute guy take her somewhere else altogether the night before, though if that was the case she really wished she remembered it.
Stretching, Ty Lee slid out of the bed, not the least bit bothered by her lack of clothing. Footsteps padded lightly along the carpet as she walked to the window. One look outside alone was enough to ensure her that this was no land of the Fire Nation. “Wow, the view is great!” she cried out in awe. It hardly seemed to matter where she was. Sure, it was a little too bad to not be where she could be right now. And she’d likely anger some people, or more likely… someone when they discovered her missing, but… the view.
It was a long while before the brunette felt ready to pry herself from the window. Turning her back from it, her eyes swept the room once again. Eyes landed on all-too familiar garments, causing her to perk. “Oh! I was wondering where those went off to!” Taking them from their neatly-folded position on a chair, she began re-dressing herself. Yet, as she worked her eyes caught sight of one thing that had gone completely unnoticed upon waking up.
Dropping the garment to one hand, she watched her reflection as it reached towards the collar placed around her neck with both curiosity and confusion. Tilting her head to the side, she felt along its smooth surface before her expression quickly turned to a wide grin. “I knew it, it wasn’t a dream! That was so nice of Lang to leave me such a pretty choker! … Or was it Shin?” Though to Ty Lee it hardly seemed to matter what the guy’s name was as she continued to dress in excitement, eventually discovering the device along with her clothing and figuring out how to use it.
