A really big part of me wants to take the money we saved for a down payment on a house (which we aren't doing now), take a short leave from work, and go to New Orleans (and the surrounding areas) for a month. Sometimes during my downtime at work, I look through the streets on Google maps and pretend I'm there.

evan doesn't really care about going there, so that would kind of suck for him. i mean, i'm sure he'd enjoy the lush parks, the food, and being somewhere cool we've never been, but to blow our savings on a place that isn't special to him...would suck. and i understand.

but still!

maybe i should just go by myself. i'd probably get too curious and get shot while urb-exing someone's awesome falling apart house. or drown in a swamp.

I love NOLA so much. Make sure to stop by Abita Springs and visit the brewery and the UCM museum. I love that place.

can do! once we actually plan on going (evan doesn't really care about it, but will go with me), i'll definitely need tips. i've never been and just know one or two places i want to visit.

i've never been but am planning a visit...sometime. no idea when, but within 5 years, i guess. i'll get there damn it!
