I intentionally left my book at home today so I'd finally get a good few reads in on my Kindle; to really try it out. I feel like a book traitor because I actually like it! You can look words up right on the thing, it's light and thin as heck yet holds tons of books, and it doesn't dry my fingers out ( Read more... )

heh

evan was kind enough to pick up a nylon or something one for me, which isn't what i was really looking for, but it was all target had. it actually isn't too bad, so i'm going to give it a shot. i gave in to my paranoia though and bought a silicone skin for when i'm actually using it because i don't want it to slip out of my hands.

my phone is really slippery so i bought a silicone skin and it's worked wonders when i've dropped it.

Kindle books used to be cheaper, but then some publishers got upset and demanded that Amazon charge closer to the same prices.
Every so often a publisher will announce a free download for a new book for 1 day only. I have been able to download a few free new releases this way.
One thing I don't like though is that some of the free downloads I have didn't mention that they were Christian mysteries/thrillers. That annoys me when I get preached at in a book that I didn't know I was going to get preached at...ya know?
