After talking to my friend (who just had her 5th kid a few days ago) for about two seconds about when to buy baby clothes, I started buying baby clothes. She said it certainly isn't too early, hence...below!
every new mom i have ever talked to always says that all the clothes they bought before giving birth ended up being WAY too big during the first few months. but then when they ended up buying stuff they always made sure to buy the cheapest newborn clothes because they get messy and only fit for a little while anyway.
i've heard that but also that some are way too small. i've got infant stuff as well as 3-6 month old stuff (a few) for either such outcome. and tons of onsies. i don't plan on having designer stuff for this kid because yeah, infants don't care about what they're in and will barf on everything. (oh joy!)
goodwill is going to be my friend, oh i know it.
but that doesn't mean i'm not going to buy cute cheap stuff like the stuff i already bought. i mean, look at them! and she'll grow.
Keep in mind that kids don't usually fit in what their age size is. Ryer did, because he was exactly in the 50% his whole life. Henry... not so much. BUT Ryer NEVER fit into any those cute little booties, because from birth his feet were HUGE!!!! Sucked, because I bought all these cute little animal booties... :o/
i knooowwww, but i still wanted to get those cute little things. i've got a few different sizes of stuff on my wishlist for the baby shower, just in case.
thankfully she'll arrive when it's warm, so i can just stick her in diapers and a onsie.
the other stuff is large so she'll grow into them.
