I'm really enjoying being pregnant. The initial first trimester icky stuff is over (worrying about miscarriage, nausea, which wasn't really around anyway, being exhausted ALL the time, and not actually feeling pregnant) and the good stuff has begun. I slept on my back most of my pregnancy (i'm a side sleeper).

Have you tried memory foam?

We had to buy a whole new bed because I couldn't get comfortable and my hips were hurting.

You should go see my chiropractor (he's in SJ). He treats pregnant ladies. I bet he could help you. I don't like chiropractors but I like him.

we actually have a really nice foam mattress, but it just doesn't work on this prego chick.

i don't know how i feel about chiropractors. i'll keep him in mind though.

i wonder if it has something to do with calcium or another mineral deficiency? if i remember correctly from nutrition class, calcium supplements don't really work for adults because they've already laid down all the calcified bone they ever will. But perhaps you could try glucosamine or some other supplement for joint health? talk to your doctor about it, perhaps?

at least one part of it is just the body gets itself relaxed for when you give birth. even this early.
