Misery guts: scroll on by

After a fantastic five days with minimal pain and relatively no fatigue suffered, I'm enduring a week from hell.

Oh don't I agree! Froggy is beside himself trying to figure out any way he can to make me feel better. Grin and bear it seems the only thing to do until the pain killers kick in.

Different meds affect different people in different ways; there's an antibiotic that makes me feel much as you've just described, and everyone gets it in the hospital here in Oxford and none of them seem to have the same problem. So I'm sure your Doc didn't prescribe it knowing it was going to be a nasty one for you. I'm sure she's upset too that it's turned out like that.

....aaaaaaaaaanyway. I'm so sorry you've had a bad week. I'm thinking of you always and hope things start to look up again now you're off at least one of the icky meds.

I know you're right - I really didn't expect these meds to have this effect on me either. But such is life. Luckily those antibiotics should be flushed out of my system by the end of the weekend. At least I don't feel the nausea today. All I have to contend with is the sciatica which is a royal pain in the arse - literally! I just realised this morning - duh - that my neck pain and probably some part of the headaches I'm suffering are also linked to the whole sciatica. So now it's pain from head to toe. *grumble*

I must say that the five days I spent in England are worth the bit of hell I'm suffering now. Though I do hope it ends soon too!
