The Pumpkin Ball
I just dropped Katie Anne off at the Pumpkin Ball. She has a history of winning the costume contest in her reenactor clothes. This year she's "Little Bo Peep"

Short and sweet... for now
We just got back from the Princeton ACW event and it was a LOT of fun. I'll post more tomorrow, but right now I just wanted to share the funniest snippet of the weekend in my opinion.
KJ was on the battlefield and acting as the messenger for the Commanding Officer of the day. At one point he decided that he was mortally wounded, and so he died... ( How did he die? ) -
Finally Out
We're finally all out of the Campus Hills House and I'm thrilled that we won't have to make that heart wrenching trip back for anything else. I've got a van full of stuff though that I need to unpack, by the time we got home last night I just couldn't get it done. I've been running a low grade fever for the past few days and generally feel like ick. That super sucks because we have to get the rest of the crap out of Campus Hills House and the apartment before the end of the month. Yay Me!
I finished the skirt for my purple tea dress last night! Whoo hoo! I did the entire thing by myself with just a tiny bit of coaching from Lisa at the end. It's got a 220" skirt, with a brush braid and a hem saver. I even remembered how to blind hem without having to look it up online. Odd
Since my life has seemed to me to be significantly out of control over the past couple of weeks (months) I've found my self doing the oddest thing. I'm sewing. Lincoln Douglas Debates
Seems like everyone had a great time in Freeport this weekend celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Lincoln-Douglas debates. Friday night we went to the parade and rally which was fabo.
