The book is absolutely fantastic--I've only taken elements of it, so if you ever wanted to read the book (and you really should; it's one of my favourites), the majority of it would remain unspoiled for you. :)

Beautiful - I haven;t read the book either but DAMN I love where this is going. Wish I knew why Kurt was there to begin with, but it doesn't really matter in the end.

I'm sorry that it wasn't clear why Kurt was there--it was explained in a throw-away line in the first few paragraphs, about how Finn had caught whooping cough (I was basing it off the time my sister got whooping cough and I was sent away for two weeks to stay with my grandparents).

You should really read the book if you ever get the chance--it's one of my all-time favourites. :)
