it was a long time coming, but I'm setting out at 11 tonight for a five day trip to New York with some folks from OCAD - i'll be back shortly with photos & drawings.

earlier this week i finished a series of illustrations for my friend Ambers documentary movie on homelessness. The images were, for the most part, meant to portray the most negative perceptions of homelessness and were juxtaposed with footage and interviews of actual people on the street. thanks to an over site on my part, my plans for august hang in the balance and rest upon the shoulders of our glorious bureaucracy *shudders*. My free ride west has to be cut through the states, and my passport has just expired so of i go scrambling to deal with the paperwork. So, this is the last week at the Abelard. Ive never held down a job for this long - just a month shy of one year - and i can say that i'm not sorry to move on. As excited as i am about going into school in September, I'm also great full for the short bout of freedom and trip to the west coast that await me.
