[Yamame had just stood and stared at the girl as well...as if in a staring contest. She didn't intend to lose. But, when Yuki approaches with the sheet of paper, Yamame just stares at her for a long moment before taking it, obviously struggling to read it.]
[The staring had been impressive. Yuki, however, had not blinked once; it was a bit uncanny. When Yamame asks about the paper, she will glance down and recite in a monotone.]
'Spreading Excitement All Over the World with Haruhi Suzumiya Brigade'.
[Yuki sounds about as excited as if she is announcing that prune juice is 5% off with the purchase of two bottles of sardines.]
1. (I'm supposed to be working, but it's YUKI. HOW COULD I NOT?)prpl_assistantOctober 13 2011, 03:25:19 UTC
(Miss Pauling is about as ordinary as people get. Apart from the fact that she likes people watching too, and it so happens that there's a girl she's never seen before today who seems to be doing the same. She didn't bother Yuki, not until she realised that Yuki's been in the same place for thirty minutes, doing nothing but staring at others.)
Excuse me miss, but are you alright? You've been standing here for awhile now, are you lost or looking for someone?
Hooray for Yuki!bogusmagickerOctober 13 2011, 03:38:03 UTC
[Yuki's head swivels in Miss Pauling's direction, her stare focusing on the woman for a moment or two. There is a shake of the head. Then the head swivels back forward. This routine is managed without moving the rest of her body.]
Mayfield, you are going to cost me my grades. XDprpl_assistantOctober 13 2011, 03:44:01 UTC
(Ok, that's...slightly creepy. But she's not as creeped out as she would've been if she hadn't met Miss Enma a few days ago.)
Well, alright then. Have a good day, miss.
(She heads back to her bench and continues observing the area around her. Fast forward another thirty minutes, and the girl with grey hair is STILL THERE. By now, she's slightly worried whether the girl is in a form of catatonic shock but based on the fact that she does move every now and then to pass a piece of paper to other children, she seemed fine.)
[Yuki could stand for another five hours if she really wanted to, sunset be darned. But she decides it is time to move on when she realizes she has been staring at a tree for a few moments, given that there is nobody else in the vicinity.
She will pass by Miss Pauling's bench as she goes. Though she doesn't say anything, her eyes will meet the woman's.]
[And Ciel is sweeping up the fallen brightly-colored leaves on the lawn, in her front yard. What Yuki might also notice is Merem's drone going mO_Om by the window giving in to the living room. He's still a creeper no matter what happens to the world.
She seems somewhat engrossed. Do you.. really want to ask...]
[The drone gets a short glance; that is enough for Yuki to determine that Merem's status has not changed. While Ciel has qualities that perhaps make her more suitable for Haruhi's club than most, she is not, of course, of school age.
...
There is a pause before she steps forward, anyway.]
[She does have in mind to try staging another school festival like last year in a month maybe, if the SOS wants to crash that and blow it out of proportions... 8|a The ironic part there would be that she physically in fact is of school age. The body is under 18, though the mind would be more mature.
Done racking up another large pile of leaves, she'll look up and wave.]
Good afternoon, Nagato-san. [If Yuki's "stalking" was odd, she shows no indication of finding anything out of place. This is just how this girl is, after all.] Are you out for a walk?
[There is a slight nod as Yuki draws slightly closer. Though she wasn't certain herself what exactly she was doing, walking was definitely on the agenda, yes.
Her gaze will fall over the yard; she adopts a slightly quizzical expression. Leaf raking. What was the point?]
