As you know, I don't read vast amounts of fiction- don't have time given the amount of history I need to get through- but I do enjoy the occasional fantasy volume.

As for romantic fiction? It's never appealed at all, but I suppose that's just me! :o)

There is romance in everything to a degree. Even Lord of the Rings had some, invisible as it was. But the love wasn't--thinking Sam and Frodo here. Love makes the world go 'round.

I don't read traditional romance. I don't like formula-writing, which is one reason I'm not big on cozy mysteries even though I love a good mystery. Formula = marketable to the greatest demographic.
