I dont come from a family of feminists. There was no reason for me to turn out like this. However I do come from a family of independent women. But its not the same thing, is it. My mother is independent with a capital I, but feminist she is not. She is tolerant of my feminism , yet she believes in the super woman myth.

feminism is a belief in equality, and an understanding that things as they exist are less than equal.
