My mum just bought a GPS Car navigator recently. Actually I don't think she really needs it as she knows Singapore roads pretty well (at least much better than me). The set costs $499 in the market but I managed to get it at a much better price, thanks to my uncle who owns a electronic shop...haha. Anyway the same set is going for $488 in the ( Read more... )

You will have to fix the stand inside the car, most probably sucked(vacuum) to the windsreen. Very simple, it only took me 2 minutes to fix the stand.

Currently a lot of GPS exhibitors in Sitex. You might want to make a trip there to take a look.

Make sure to get one:
1) with ERP and speed camera warning
2) with maps that can be freely downloaded from the internet.

Yeah, so many brands and so many models, it is not easy. But as long as you need erp and speed camera warning, many models will be out ( ... )

Yup, I agreed that the thing will do you more good than for you mum. Been in your car before, I know you're always stress when we wanted to go somewhere new which is not familiar for you... haha. Glad that you finally found a gadget to guide you around.

Sometimes the system will go haywire and guide you the long way despite there is a much straight forward (and faster) way to go to your destination. But I do agree that as long as it brings you to where you wanna go, better late than never.
