Wasn't going to come out and say it, but I can't stay quiet any longer...

I can guess that this might spark a bit of ire in everyone, but I have to say... last nights episode was completely boring to me. It could have been done SOO well! The potential was there, but it fell short in so many ways. Yes, Jorja Fox did a relatively good job with what she was given, but I found the episode pointless, and anti-climatic. For me ( Read more... )

Yes, a pretty boring and obvious episode all around. The mystery element was missing and the pace was either too slow or lacking in the intensity to go with the slow pace. The things I found interesting were Hodges and their need to mention Wendy half a dozen times without letting her appear.

As for the makeup, I've always considered the matt effect makeup they use to be terribly unflattering on the women. It does absolutely nothing for their complexions.

Yeah, what was up with that? "Oh Wendy did this..." yes, but where is Wendy? All around, not impressed. I'm glad there are a few people who agree with me.

And agreed on the make-up front; I think they made a big mistake going with an HDTV filming process. Make-up artists have a hard time as it is (my friend, who is training to be a Make-Up Artist hates HDTV because it just makes there jobs infinitely harder). And I find that sometimes with Sara's makeup, she almost looks too made-up. Like clown-esque. Sometimes the lighting catches her just right and she looks amazing, but most times she just looks drab, and artificially energetic.

Oh, and the program I use for my text-to-speech fanfiction enjoyment is "ACE-High Text To Speech Reader". Rather funny little program.

I love Jorja to bits, but I agree - the episode was lacking in certain aspects I thought would be there. I was hoping to be pulled in more by the storyline and, although I loved seeing Sara so much, I didn't feel that emotional pull as much as I expected to. Just felt really grossed out with all those dead girls, and with psychopath man. CTV really needed their "The following program may contain material that..." warning last night!

Saran wrap? Seriously? I probably would have offered to jump in the shower with her :)

Yeah, normally I'd be all, "Aww, Sara, I pretty near hate you, but we should have a bath together." but last night... did not feel the love. Of course I felt bad for her, but I just don't have enough sympathy (or alternatively too little brains) in me to appreciate that episode.

Boo, CBS/CSI Productions, boo.

After reading this I'm kinda glad I missed it (forget there was a new ep and went out to dinner!)!! Are they trying to make CSI suck on purpose or what?! Is there hope for CSI?? I'm gonna cross my fingers... but not hold my breath!!

It's worth a watch, I suppose. But don't go into it, like I did, all gung-ho about it. You'll be disappointed then. If you go in predisposed to hate it, you might actually enjoy it, but it wasn't worth waiting a whole month for.

Download it off a torrent site, and watch it that way, or wait for the DVDs, either way, it's still worth watching (it is CSI afterall) but don't get your hopes up.
