So... I had one of the worst calls in my short history, here at Bell Mobility...
A woman (name left out because she was a total douche but I still don't want you burning her shack down) called me and was wondering about a charge on her bill (which she kept claiming she didn't have!).
The paper that she did have in front of her was her bill, however she wasn't seeing the calls she was making or receiving, and rather could only see the charges.
"How do I know that these charges are legit if I don't even have my bill?!"
"Well, what you have in front of you, that let's you know what your charges are, is your bill."
"Don't start throwing out that shit at me, I have not received my bills for several months! All I get is this summary!" Allow me to reiterate, she did have her bill... what she was talking about is Detailed Billing. Some price plans (not hers) come with it as part of the monthly charges, otherwise to produce a call-by-call/event-by-event paper bill costs $3. Or you can go online and register for e-bill, which is free, and get the detailed bill online for free.
"I don't have a line! I just have this cell phone."
"..."
"I don't have a line."
"A line?"
"YOUR ONLINE!"
"Oh! The internet!"
"Yes! I don't have a line!"
"Right, well, I can send you the detailed bill for this particular month free as a courtesy, but going forward, you'd need to add it to your account for $3."
"You can't charge me for my bill! That's illegal!"
It went on and on for a while... escalating into her making some antisemitic comments, as well as going on about how Jesus walked around, did some stuff, and apparently in that time what he did was illegal, but he was there to save our souls! So that has complete relevance to her bill!
Awesome.
72 minutes, several mentions of aliens, trees, and other irrelevant thing, and a few outright yelling sessions later and I'm off the line with her.
This was the only person I've ever wanted to yell at. I don't get angry. People as laid back as me don't get pissed about shit like this, but I wanted to hang up so often in this conversation it could be a record.
Technically, I could have given her detailed billing free for six months, but I wasn't going to do it on principle alone. After the 30 minute mark it wasn't even part of the conversation, but rather switched over to her contract deal blah blah blah. Apparently in Nelson BC, BELL is a dirty word.
Cry me a river.
Anyway, that is my rant for the day. Thanks for tuning in, my lovelies, and letting me let off a little steam.
Peace it.
