Books, courses, classes on how to write - I haven't done a single one of those.

I had some classes, because I was a creative major, but I came out feeling it's something no one can teach.

that's interesting.. sometimes I wonder if I'm at a disadvantage for it but I suppose that has been my instinct. Perhaps the best thing to do is read good writing.

There are plenty of MOOCs online that you can study with for free or close to free. I think courses are good for lagging discipline and outside critique but eventually it's all up to you.
