hmmm....(my internet seems to be temporarily back on, although now my phone line has gone dead....can't have it both ways I suppose!)
anyway, while it is, I'm taking this opportunity to give a big old invite...it's my birthday on Saturday and myself and webslinger_uk have come up with a few cheeky plans to celebrate in the city. Basically if anyone fancies joining us for any or all of the evening, well that would be just fab.
If you fancy it, drop me an email or comment or something and I can let you know the vague game plan. Even if you're not up for drinking/dancing (of which there will be plenty hopefully) then maybe earlier in the day coffee/lunch/dinner would be fab.....basically my birthday comes a sucky time of year for me, just as the term starts. It means I'm never with my family for it and colleagues seem to forget because of the bad timing.
If you can't come for reasons of large oceans or tracts of land in between me and you, (it's the only excuse that I won't pout over....well that and death) you can draw me a picture of yourself in paint and email it to me, or even better in crayon and post it to me giving an artists representation of you at my birthday.... gifts don't bother me but amusing badly drawn pictures of my friends would fill me with joy!
