Hey ya'll.

I've been neglecting MySpace so I posted this there first so's to show I'm not playing favorites. Go me.

Went to a going away party at Garrison's house last night. He's off to Chico to be a Musical Theater Star. Yay, Garrison. We all sat around the bonfire and goofed off all night. I had a great time. I really do love those kids. Yay

OMG would the theater group working with inner city kids happen to be "All Stars"?? I believe they are headquartered on 8th Ave...my uncle is a major benefactor/donor and regularly attends their events and that sort of thing. Crazy small world, LJ style, if that's the one you're talking about!

Actually it is not... but I would be interested to hear info on this "All Stars" group... :-)

it's actually called the "All Stars Project" and they basically work with inner city children and teenagers in acting and producing their own theater projects, as well as exposing them to professional productions on Broadway, off-Broadway, etc. They have all kinds of volunteer opportunities and i'm sure you could probably get involved as part of an internship or something like that if you're really interested. All Stars works in conjunction with the Castillo Theater which is right next door to the AS offices at 34th st/8 ave (check me on that one), which makes staging the productions easier.
