You know how some people call bulk warehouses (like Sam's or Costco) $100 Stores, because it's impossible to leave them without having purchased at least $100 worth of merchandise? Well, on Monday I learned that the Apple Store, which I have long feared even setting foot in because of the unnerving, glowing, cultish aura around it, is my $3000 ( Read more... )

Good! AppleCare is really worth it--those repairs are very costly out of warranty, and things WILL go wrong. Their service repairs are very good, though.

Ehhh, I'm glad it's changing to MobileMe for your sake since .Mac totally sucks. You pay like $100 a year for a teensy tinsy bit of online disk space that has a really bad reputation for being incredibly and mind-blowingly slow.

I prefer Amazon's pay-as-you-upload backup services, frankly.

Did you get a new iBrick iPhone? I want one, but $70 a month for the freaking service and it can't even copy/paste? No thank you.

Also, are you still in town? Psych starts next Friday and we should do something about that.

NOT ONLY is Cybil Shephard playing Shawn's mom Madeline, there's an episode later this summer that has Justine Bateman as Lassiter's estranged wife. Should be interesting since I thought she was going to be more of a Maris character.

My second new laptop was an iBook G4, several years ago. I resisted checking out WoW for a long time but finally gave in at the right time because it supported the Mac. At the time, around game version 1.8, WoW was still playable on that unit. Now, forget it. Shattrath is 2-5 fps ( ... )

I do want one. I'm not ashamed to admit it. Apple's are like Voltron. The more you link up, the stronger they become. Unfortunately my PC is barely over a year old, and I don't want to blow 2 grand on anything right now, no matter how silver and awesome they are. Unlike some people I know, if I spill something on my computer and fry it out, then I am stuck using an etch-a-sketch and a calculator.
