I am slowly falling in love with this movie. I didn't even know what roller derby was a couple of months ago-- but it made my list of "violent sports I think fondly of." The best part (aside from ladies kicking ass) are the derby names. Drew Barrymore is Smashley Simpson and Kristen Wiig is Malice in Wonderland.

DAMMIT, JENNY. That isn't even the first time I've seen the WTWTA trailer and I'm still bawling. Now I'm all forlorn and grown-up.

If we're riding on a stagecoach at any point in our adventures, please don't punch me in the face.

Yes, Fame gave me goosebumps, but I think maybe it just suddenly got cold in here.

The Stephanie March scene is brilliant and I respect her tenfold for having done it.

I'm willing to see any of those movies with you. Except maybe "Jennifer's Body," because the trailer didn't work for that so I still know nothing about it except that it sounds creeeepy and has girls in it that make Barbie look realistic.

And YES I AM STILL CRYING, OH GOD WHYYYYYYY

Jenny, I love it when you post trailers! Especially when they are all AWESOME.
I have some friends who do roller derby and I've been thinking about trying it out, trying to suppress the fear of everyone being kind of mean 'cause it's new york and they're the state champions.
Fame is a re-make of an 80's movie and it's based on a real school in NY. Happens to be the one that I went to. I think I can safely say it's not a musical, but a movie with singing and dancing in it.

Yay trailers!
