Help me with problem at work

Today, when I came into work, a problem was shown to me.   During the night, according to our lights and instruments, the “B-phase” of the line voltage from Madison Gas & Electric (aka MG&E) went out.

I should point out that we have two clocks in the control room, One powered by my little power plant and the other powered by MG&E.

I'm down with bulb burned out though I don't see why the battery had to go walkies as well.
