Well, this sucks.

I'm sad that CC is having so many problems. I like the majority of the people on there and have found many of the threads to be so informative and helpful. But most importantly (despite my recent MIA status), I feel like my journal buddies are my real friends. I'm not ready to jump ship yet, but I guess I'll have to start posting over here if ( Read more... )

They'll be back soon, from what I'm told.

I'm glad to hear that. I figured they might go down for a week honestly. I just don't want to lose my journals as I was counting on them to be able to fill out Paty's baby book correctly :) John made fun of me for that...

Yeah, but I'm way behind . I need to do it before her bday as I'd like to have it out for people to look through. I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this!

Hi Boiler!

I hope CC comes back soon too. I was really looking forward to all the wonderful reams of info available on all things PG related and would hate to see it all go away.

Hope you and the fam had a wonderful New Years!

we had a good New Years, thought both P and I have colds. I always found the family boards to be VERY helpful. I'd hate for people to have to miss out on that. That type of info just isn't available over here.

Sad is right. I hate that what really appears to be a personal thing between a few people has blown up like this. From what it seems to me, both sides acted kind of childishly, and now we all lose. Annoying drama aside, there was lots of really stuff there.

At least we do have LJ to keep in touch. I feel like I have real friends from there, too.

I'm good with LJ as a journaling place (though I think CC is easier to use) but not as a general information place.

I am sad about it to but I am glad you came here to post for at least a little while. How is Paty?
Let me know if you ever want to get together up in Beachwood.

I don't believe I have any weekend plans until Paty's birthday (I cannot believe my daughter will be 1 in 2 months!!!). So any Sat or Sun you would like to meet, let me know. I could do Grove City as well if that is easier for you.

Grove City sounds great. I have Carissa's birthday party on the 12th so how about saturday or sunday 19th or 20th? If it is really cold outside we could go somewhere else so Paty is not outside much.

Isn't it funny how you blink your eyes and they are so much older. Paty sure is a cutie and if she is like her mother she will have a brain to match. Carissa will be 12 years old on the 8th of this month. I still remember holding my newborn like it was yesterday.

Carrie,

I'm so far behind... What happened on the CC?? I must have missed the problems while on vacation, all I know is today the threads are closed. Please fill me in.

Thanks.

I agree it is a great journal over here but as far as the info the CC is much better abd a little easier to use but this year I plan to try and get better adjusted over here since a lot of my firends are here and not on the CC any longer. Not that I won't be on the CC, I'll just have to split my time.

Yeah, you missed a doozy. If you have access to WC_on_LJ, you can see a lot of the ranting, though IMHO, it is very one-sided and frankly, immature. Basically, 4 people were banned from CC for a bevy of reasons and now a whole group is up in arms about it. They started a witch hunt thread on CC and Katy shut the whole thing down. To be fair, some of the points about the admin/mods are valid though and could use a little more of an explanation than Katy is willing to give. All in all, I am guessing 10-15 people are causing a ruckus, another 40 or so are going along for the ride and the rest of us just need to wait a little bit and we can get back to the board when it comes back up.

I have a feeling we're in the majority. As Jenny said above, the board should be back up before too long and most of us will continue on status quo.
