Why so low for High Tension?

Same reason as everyone else; the ending. It's just so unbelievably and offensively stupid, and since it's so predictable, it tainted some of the admittedly effective precedings. And I hated the use of that Muse song, which made the whole thing less scary. Some of the death scenes were really cool though, especially the staircase beheading.

Children Of Men gets that high-of-a score on your now rather elite, Precious Dollesque rating system? Maybe I'll see it. I'll probably see Jackass 2 first though.

I gave it that high a rating almost entirely for aesthetic reasons. It's kinda everything I'd hope for from a mainstream future dystopia action-thriller in terms of style. Exhilirating stuff.
