On Language

The concept of language perplexes me. How is language learned? As a language student, the answer might be obvious: through commercially-produced visual and auditory activities, as well as the occasional handout. I've wondered this before, too. It's a phenomenon, really, but I suspect that it's mostly from imitation of the other people when we are babies.

Did this come up in TOK?

yea, i agree wit kenny, u learn by imitating...there used to be no such thing as school, yet people were still able to speak. it just comes....how do u know other things, like.....i donno...how did u learn to walk/run? how do u know right from wrong...there really are no asnwers to these questions...
