Fitting into a Tux

My dykish heart's greatest desire.  (Aside from the beautiful women around me, that is)

I have always wanted to wear a tux.  I went in to a shop yesterday to get sized and they all look ridiculous... If it is large enough to accommodate my shoulders and button around my hips, then the shoulders are enormous.  If the shoulders "look" right,

If you can't find a tux shop that has tuxes made for women around here (seems like there must be one), maybe you could buy a tux and get a good seamstress to alter it for you?

You may have better luck going to a mens' shop than a tux rental place. Most include tailoring, even for teh wimminz, as I found when I was shopping for a business suit for a party last year.
