Fall approaches

For the past four days I've felt like I have wads of cotton jammed in my ears. It doesn't hurt and I'm not having vertigo so I merely wait (and pop my ears again) and it will pass. Other than that I'm just fine, a touch sleepy. It's well past my bedtime ( Read more... )

Your mom was jealous i guess cause your mil gave you something "just because". That's too bad that your mom just could'nt be happy for you. Im sorry you grew up with a "bad" mom. Congrats on Scotts promotion. And good luck on your getting a house plan, you can do it, we did. After 16yrs. of renting we finally bought a house 1yr and a half ago. We had major credit problems from when we were very young and stupid, but over the yrs they've dissapperared i guess.

That's "young and inexperienced" ;) Time has healed our wounds but now we have to build all over! It'll be worth it the day I can rip out an ugly brown carpet or replace a chipped yellow laminate countertop :D
Scott got confirmation on the promotion today and it looks like he'll be going to Reno for training next Tuesday.
As for my bad mom, she really was a bad mom. There are worse ones to be sure. She's trying hard to make ammends and I've learned to take her in stride. I'm stuck between empathy and pity for her and she's stuck between pitiful and egotistic. I feel like I'm mothering her, helping to heal her wounds. All my life I've had to "prove" how much I love her and part of me has given up hope that she'll return the favor by just loving me, no strings attatched. I am grateful that I've learned so much about what not to do, I'm bound to be a reasonably decent mom (crosses fingers)

People with bad credit are the primary target of every lowlife in a cheap suit out there trying to cash in on your deperation. Trust me, I lived it. Payday loans, credit cards that cost nearly $300 to get, promises of personal loans for a small "admistrative fee" upfront, you name it. I hope there's a special place in hell for these losers.

I hope they find a special place snuggled close to the cigarette manufacturers and peddlers of used, errr, new automobiles :D
