So today at work something kind of odd happened to me. I was doing my usual work thing when I got a phone call. Now this in and of itself is rather odd, since I almost never get phone calls at work. Anyway, the phone call went like this

I don't think that's creepy -- I mean, I know I've fallen in love with a million strangers for about 10 minutes at a time after doing something as simple as making eye contact, and when I worked at the video store I always wanted customers to ask me out. I never did anything out of fear, so this guy definitely gets points for bravery and I think he's worth a lunch date. I mean, if it turns out you have nothing in common, at worst you'll have the flattery-afterglow to show for it. And, who knows, he might be totally awesome.

My first boyfriend ever I was probably kind of creepy to... "Look, this sounds like a pick-up line and I swear I'm not that creepy, but do you want to exchange e-mail addresses? It's really rare that I meet interesting people, so I like to hang onto those I meet." (There's a huge amount of pre-story I'm missing, but that's how I got his contact info. He, too, was kind of ruffled and unshaved and things, but man oh man, did he clean up. He sent my sister into stuttering because she couldn't forms words she was so blown over. So trust me, trying it out even with someone you think is kind of odd can definitely work out!)
