Windows 7 price points, PSP, and Nailin' Paylin.

Well, Microsoft has announced the price points for the various flavors of Windows 7, and I have to say that I think they're a bit overpriced. I do want to get Windows 7, but considering that we're in the middle of a recession/depression, it seems silly to be pricing so high ( Read more... )

Yeah, I know about the service pack pricing that Apple does, however, I hate the whole "upgrade" pricing BS. I don't want to buy a piece of software that requires me to install an old piece of software, just so I can install a new one on top of it. They need to discount the full product. Not just the upgrade.

I've been running Windows 7 on my PC for over three months, though I don't use it much. I too want to purchase it, but the price point is a bit outrageous in my book. I will have to look into student discounts.

d'oh. turns out upgrading from xp requires a clean install! yay :)
