You mean a Pavlovian sort of operant conditioning?
[Nerd, scientist, optimist. Otacon is all of the things that Liquid thinks is ridiculous, annoying, or outright stupid. He's only traveling with the little nerd so that he can get at his partner, Solid Snake, and fight him to the death. The fact that Otacon's turned out to be a pretty decent guy is just even more annoying, because now he's kind of sort of maybe not quite as bad as Liquid thought he was. And his damn fluffy sheep is cute.

Are you one of those guys that gets paid to stand around in Abercrombie or something?
[At first, Liquid thought that Heather was just your average annoying teen with nothing better to do than sit around and snark.
Then she started to cause chaos with household chemicals, and he began to see her in a whole new light.
She's started to grow on him simply for her love of wanton destruction, and anybody who likes explosions and destruction is fine by his books. Especially if they'll wreak havoc with him. Because if there's one thing Liquid likes to do, it's run amok, and he wouldn't mind having a partner-in-crime with him while he does so.]

[Stein is... special. And kind of creeps Liquid the fuck out. He has the distinct impression that the good Doctor wants to pin him to a board and take a look at his innards, which probably isn't far from the truth. It's a good thing that Doc doesn't know about the cloning thing, or else Liquid might be on a dissection table soon.]

[As far as Liquid can see, Franziska is nothing more than a spoiled brat who's with a sense of entitlement who's used to everything being given to her on a silver platter. She's lost and in over her head, and he gets amused at how easily she can be flustered. And he's going to break that damn crop the next time she hits him with it.]
