*in her handwritten diary*

Things are exceptionally bad right now. Bad enough that I can't even explain to others how bad it is for fear of seeing those looks on their faces ( Read more... )

He catches her asleep on the desk. His hair is at all angles and he's pretty much asleep but he goes over to her, a yawn falling from his mouth as he carefully moves her from where she sits. She doesn't wake but he isn't really surprised and he notes the heat of her body as he carries her to the couch, but he's gotten used to it now from Caz so he simply takes it how it is - the cravings ( ... )

She wasn't sure when she'd woken, not really, just that when she did, Sweep was close and the look on his face made immediate tears rise up in her eyes. "I'm sorry," she said softly, knowing he must know. "It hurts, Sweep," she murmured, her voice dry and cracking, though her eyes were more than wet now, tears falling from the corners and almost into her ears. "Everything fucking hurts."

At her apology he pressed a finger to her lips to shush her - she didn't have anything to apologise to him for, nothing at all. "I know baby," he murmured, and on some level he DID know, both with Caz and his own withdrawals though it had been a long time for the latter. He sat on the sofa next to her, fitting his body with hers and offering her the chance to curl up with him if she needed to and how many times had he done this with Caz when things had gotten too much? Too many to count.

She shook almost violently, curling close to him. "You don't need this shit. You and Steph have dealt with enough... you don't need my shit on top of everything else." Her body was trying to draw in on itself and it fucking hurt. "Where's my wand?" she said in a small voice, not even able to reach around to find it. She needed her wand to be able to accio potions. Fuck. "Hurts."

Adam would never read her private diary even if it was open in front of him. The need to talk to her, to see her okay was going to kill him one of these days. The fact that they ended so horribly before stabbed at him and all he wanted was to see her at peace. He had apparated into her room, hoping to catch her asleep, perhaps in Caz's arms or something like that but she had passed out on her desk.

He knelt in front of her and carried her over to the sofa and tucked her in.

Yes, we saw that Sweep already responded, you can pretend that this is a dream or something if you wish, he just demanded to respond, you don't want to have Adam in your head when Becca's mad at him! It's hard work!

She wrapped her arms around him making a small sound of pain as he lifted her. "Adam?" she said her eyes bleary, "I'm so sorry... I'm sorry we argued. I hate fighting with you." Her words were almost slurred with sleep.

He laid her gently on the sofa and pulled a blanket over her body. Before he said a thing he kissed her face about half a dozen times. "Shh, it's okay. You sleep now and we can talk in the morning. I just had to see you again, after all that." He wanted to say because he knew she wasn't okay, but he didn't want to upset her. He held one of her hands and sat down on the floor, leaning his back against the sofa. "I love you, Rebecca."

She clung to him like she was drowning. She couldn't help it. He was the one it was safe to tell everything to. "I love you too," she said, her voice cracking a little. "Adam? There's a baggie of heroin in my purse... can you take it away, please." She hadn't spiked up, but if it stayed, she might. That was a bad thing. "Bought it last night in a moment of weakness." She wasn't really proud of that fact. Though, she was proud she hadn't cooked it up and spiked it as soon as she got home.
