... Jesse hit 10k last night. I never hit 10k with a character! What is this madness! not since 2006, anyway. So, here's an anything goes meme for Jesse - relationships or first impressions, hypothetical relationships, someecard crap, hot or not, or even the part where you ask me questions and then I ask you questions and we talk and it's fun! TELL ME JESSE'S IDEAL DATE.

AND THEN TELL ME WHAT WOULD REALLY HAPPEN IF JESSE TRIED TO GO ON HIS IDEAL DATE.

IDEALLY. Ideally. Well, his ideal date varies based on the person that he's dating. If it's someone he's not that attached to (read: most of his dates) and whatnot, then ideally, he gets some action at the end of the date. Score! So he selects the perfect movie, puts his arm around the girl, is all ~suave~ and shit, and then later they make out in his range rover and maybe he gets lucky.

... but now he has actual real person feelings for people, so ideally, Finn gives him his blessing to take Rachel out and he takes her to the nicest restaurant that he knows, buys out an entire room or something, serenades her over a candlelit dinner, then takes her out afterwards to a park or something where they can stargaze and sing and cuddle or do whatever she's comfortable with. Ideally, he gets lucky.

WHAT WOULD REALLY HAPPEN: ... Finn says AWESOME, tags along, they get the menu and then realize that none of them know what the hell is actually on it, someone orders escargot, the boys end up egging each other on to eat the nasty crap that ( ... )

. . . supercute, Jesse. Supercute.

• Finn. I feel like there isn't much that needs to be said here. But yeah she is like IF I GIVE HIM A PENCIL WILL HE SOMEHOW STAB HIMSELF WITH THIS?!
• Puck. ... uh. ... no real reason except he's Finn's friend and seems stupider than Finn's other friends.
• Hughes. He was injured like three times in a row once and she kept making :'| faces and thinks he's flimsy.
• Jesse. Scarecrows. Also, Finn's friend. Seems more responsible than the average Glee-er, however.
• Es. But this is a more general annoyance with his existential issues :|b

UH. I love the writing in the games. They're always engaging and super fun, and even some of the weaker cases are still interesting. There's maybe one that dragged for me, and I know other people liked it a lot, so there you go. They manage to make a number of the characters in each case well-rounded so even though you only know them for a little while, you feel like you really get to know them. It's great.

... I have done this with you so many times that I forget what I've asked you, so if I ask you something we've already talked about, tell me or something. UH. What are you currently watching? TV show-wise, I mean, if there's anything.

UH HMMM. Questions! What would Jesse do if one of his teammates from Vocal Adrenaline (...not Shelby) showed up in camp?

I've avoided the season 2 spoilers so far so idk if any of them are even appable, but.

boldstarring September 17 2010, 15:39:59 UTC
It would be bad. Thankfully, AFAIK, none of them are appable although there's one VA member that will be appable shortly! But Jesse's never interacted with them, so whatever.

Anyway, he would be really torn and kind of a mess internally at first. It's a teammate! Someone he's worked with for at least a year and possibly three or four years! But the thing is that, with Jesse, he was never actually close to anyone in Vocal Adrenaline. He went back to help with the Shelby stuff and because he felt like that was his place, and he caved to the egging because he felt incredibly pressured and blah blah blah. Camp is, hmm, different though, because there are people here who actually know him. They know Jesse, anyway, and not ~Jesse St. James~. Furthermore, he doesn't feel like he owes Vocal Adrenaline any more loyalty since ... he's graduated! He's done, he's moving on to bigger and better things ( ... )

... you know I would ask who you would make me app except that everyone else from Gleecast has already answered this for me. AND I AM HOLDING STRONGISH.

So what are five show stopping musical numbers Jesse would force the zombies to act out if for some reason, life or death accept no substitutes, he had to?

My answer is actually different from the rest of Gleecast, ftr. But basically, you could app anyone from Glee and I would be super happy.

UHHHH. Hmm. Good question. He would shoot for showy dance numbers with the zombies because they can't really sing, so he gives less of a crap about the quality of the song's lyrics and whatnot. He still has his old stand-bys that he loves (see: number one), but with zombies, he'd rather beat choreography into their heads than even attempt to get them to sing on key. Worst case scenario, he can have them lip-synch. w/e.

1) Anything from Queen's catalogue. Don't Stop Me Now, Killer Queen, The Show Must Go On, etc. I am combining Queen into one category because otherwise, I'd just fill this whole thing up with Queen.
2) ABBA's Dancing Queen. It's very spirited.
3) Paula Abdul. Probably Opposites Attract or something like that. He gets a gorilla to guest star as MC Skat Kat ( ... )

TOP THREE GLEE SONGS.

SPOILERS: I'M BIASED.

1) Bohemian Rhapsody
2) Another One Bites the Dust
3) 4 Minutes

The first one is because ignoring all the terrible baby drama going on elsewhere, I loved the choreography for this number. It looks great, they're all so into it, and they have the best off-stage stories about it. It's hilarious. The second one is due to the fact that I have major love for Jon Groff and I really like how he did this song. I am cheap and do not buy music often! Dirty pirate, etc. I bought this song. I love it. ): The third is because I like how their voices work together and the way they shot this number in the show was fab. In general, I was impressed with a lot of the direction for the second half of the show's numbers (the writing ... less so . . . ).

Taking out my bias and limiting myself to the first thirteen eps, in no particular order, it's True Colors, Keep Holding On, and Somebody to Love.

Do you feel like you're missing a character type in your line-up currently? Or do you feel pretty balanced with your set?

Hmm, hmm, hmmmmm!!! . . . I don't remember hearing Another One, derp. Time for youtubing.

I AM MISSING MY CUTE, TOPPY GIRL. Oh my god, I am having serious issues about this and I am scanning like four different canons at once! Trying to find her!! . . . At this point, I think I will just load up on them at another game and keep trolling camp with my socially-maladjusted crew.

Thoughts on possibly dropping to a single character?

I love the song, really like the performance itself in the show, but ... kind of absolutely hate the episode it shows up in for numerous reasons. Canonnnnnn!

The thought mildly terrifies me. I have a really bad attention span sometimes, and if I drop to one, I worry that like - what if I get bored with Jesse! I have no other options! I like having options! On the other hand, I keep waffling with Edgeworth and that makes me feel bad. I do feel like I'm stagnating with him, and when I stagnate with a character, they usually get the drop. I've settled by forcing myself to make a decision by the next counselor round. I've played him recently though! And I feel okay with him as a backburner. And at the same time, Jesse makes me so happy when it comes to playing. At the beginning of the year, I was kind of bummed when it came to RPing? It didn't excite me. Jesse is a character where I feel like - I can throw him at nearly anyone and get some great threads, and he still has so much potential. He can grow a lot more! He does stupid shit! He' ( ... )

On a scale of 1 to Mr. Schue's Rapping, how irritating does Jesse find Jennifer?

Reply

boldstarring September 17 2010, 23:39:34 UTC
HUM. After the deaging, this is questionable. Honestly, Jennifer doesn't annoy him that much! When she's there, yes, she's annoying. But she isn't this constant presence or anything? So whatever. It's maybe a 5 - irritating when she's around, but nothing that lingers. The deaging throws this for a loop because, uh, one of the easiest ways into Jesse's good graces is to like decent music. Which she does. It basically adds another dimension to her and keeps her from being just "that girl who is annoying sometimes."

... also, if she had met him before he'd gotten involved with Rachel, he totally would have thought she was hot and wouldn't have minded flirting with her. Unfortunately, he's no longer that guy, exactly, so.

What are your expectations/fears for the new season of Glee?

Reply

boldstarring September 21 2010, 02:24:56 UTC
I kind of just keep hoping Glee won't completely suck. There are moments when I want to strangle it (see: half the shit related to the pregnancy plotline). I am HOPING that the team got the message on that crap and will keep the really annoying shit to a dull roar and have more hilarity. I expect for the musical sequences to rock - I'm hoping that the Britney episode's music sequences are at least on par with some of the better S1 ones, like 4 Minutes. I like it when those really tell a story in themselves and aren't just randomly tossed in, like "HERE, NOW THEY ARE SINGING! BUY THIS TRACK ON ITUNES!" (Lady is a Tramp, the all-guy number in the Madonna episode, etc). idk I am gay for the direction of these sequences on this show. I EXPECT MORE OF THAT, I fear that we're just going to get more songs for the sake of having songs shit tossed in, though ( ... )
