Jesse's intelligence. I do think this is a case of Glee playing stuff up for laughs (see: Sam stating that Schuester taught him how to tie his shoes, then later understanding intricate details about a recession). With that said, I do buy that he's naive enough to think he wouldn't have to show up for the classes that aren't a part of his major, and I think that if he doesn't care about something, he's not really educated about it. His parents are loaded and secure! A recession doesn't really affect him! He's definitely the sort that likes to sound smarter than he is, though, and his knowledge is more pop culture / music based.
... also this is Glee and it's terribly inconsistent. Rationalizing "Power of Madonna" with "Dream On" with "Funk" last year hurt my head. I'll go with what's funnier or works best in a thread, the end.

tl;dr, I have no update plans, but as long as things continue like this, I am totally down with whatever. Now that I've said that, just watch - the next episode will be terrible. It's always the second to last episode of the season that bones me. FUUUUUUUUNNNNNNKKK!
