... so guess who just hit 3k and continues to chug along. I think I am lucky if I make it to 2k over the course of an entire year with a character, okay.

I think the last time I talked about them was the post-Dream On essay, where Jesse realized that he actually liked her. And camp helped cement this with him a lot and helped him be okay with it! Rachel was the one who stuck by his side when he was practically keeling over. Rachel worries about him and his crazy sleep schedule. Rachel is funny and actually pretty smart and gets him on some level, even when he's playing up the charm and trying to be her ideal boyfriend. Rachel has her own quirks and drama that sometimes drives him up the wall (see: Run Joey Run), but he's sort of realized that he'd miss that. Initially, he was just doing this for Shelby and didn't think it'd be hard to leave her, but it pained him! He wasn't happy about the way it went down, but did see it as a necessity. Part of the reason he flipped his lid once Kurt pointed out the stuff about Shelby was that he tossed aside the best relationship he'd ever had for her and that was basically all for nothing ( ... )

Prior to the update and everything, Jesse ... didn't think much of Kurt! This was the kid who sang about a chair just being a chair to Finn in front of the club, okay. Jesse got that Kurt never trusted him! And he didn't really care about that. Kurt was just sort of there, so uh. Whatever? Kurt was just sort of there as the club's token gay kid to Jesse. He didn't hate Kurt, but he sure as heck didn't like him or have an ounce of respect for him either.
And then we updated! ... and Jesse still didn't think much of Kurt. Most of his guilt stemmed from all the Rachel stuff plus the Finn stuff that had been built up in camp. And again, he knew Kurt never trusted him, so ... whatever! He deserved an apology for the bullshit he spat out during the funkification and an explanation and that was about it in Jesse's mind. And stuff. But it wasn't like with Finn or Rachel where he felt pretty shitty about the stuff he personally did to them after what ( ... )
