WHY is unloading the dishwasher such an arduous task? My current theory is that we don't have enough cabinets, and I don't like having to un-stack and re-stack everything ( Read more... )

The other day this kid's parent emailed me, and her name is something like Deanna Rene House or something, and her email was 'drhouse' and I got REALLY excited when I first read it... like maybe a fictional TV character was emailing me.

Then I saw the subject line--"(Kid's) World History Project--" and I KNEW it couldn't be from him. He would never email me about that kid's History Project, you know?

It would be awesome to be able to just say whatever you want, especially to be an asshole with a flourish. I mean that in a good way, I would love to be able to do that sometimes.
Your description of the dishwashers made me think of a bizarro world kosher kitchen (you know with the separate dishwashers for meat and dairy dishes). Glad to see you posting again!

It feels good that people keep saying they are glad I'm posting again... though I still feel like I have only mundane things to talk about.

But hell... I guess if people don't wanna read my mundane things, no one's forcing them, right? :)

i love house, too. it has an awful lot of pregnancy/newborn tragedies, however, so be warned for next year. it is amazing how many tears a hormonal body can create when properly stimulated by fake medical shows.

I am getting freaked out about getting a baby immediately... they are SO EXPENSIVE. And I don't want to send Baby Wolfgang to daycare, and somehow I feel he might be a distraction in the classroom. I wonder if one EVER feels completely prepared to have a baby?

In short, I wish it was the 50s.

But I will remember this info for when the freaking out is dealt with.
