BAGELS!!! Chewy warm raisin-y ones that are so soft and good that you don't even NEED cream cheese.

How on Earth did I forget about bagels?

I wonder if Bagelstein's is still there...

Is that in Richardson? If so I think I've been there. Also, if I ever get myself to NYC I am definitely trying a bagel since I've heard so much about REAL NY BAGELS and their yumminess.

MMMMMMMMM. Last time Jess and I were there we got bagels with lox and capers and red onion and cream cheese and then ate them while sitting on someone's brownstone steps.

Hey I am also a savory bagel person and what you described made my mouth water! love! Would you say there is a drastic difference in their bagels?

Not a drastic difference. I mean, it was a good bagel, but nowadays you can find good bagels anywhere, you know? Every once in a while I will pick up a fresh Einstein's bagel from my SuperTarget (and grab some smoked salmon and capers, too), and it comes pretty close to that day in New York.

You should still go to New York, though. :)

YOU ALWAYS NEED CREAM CHEESE. Also, I'm a savory bagel person. I don't care for sweet ones at all.

Bagels are one of my very favorite foods ever. I don't think they are as good here generally, but Einstein's & Central Market's are pretty decent. Savory always! <3 <3 <3 GARLIC BAGEL I LOVE YOU <3 <3 <3
