Bolt 10-inch plush

Jan 16, 2009 00:35

I've skimmed some prior posts here and it's clear that there is a little bit of a Bolt drought regarding movie-tie-in toys (more specifically, stuff not found at the Disney Store). I've fallen in love with the 10-inch floppy plush from Toys R Us, but after three weekly trips to the store, it looks like they're not getting anything new in. All ( Read more... )

Hopefully Toys R Us does what happened with Wall-e and have a complete revival of the toys once the movie comes out on dvd. I tried cautioning the Wall-e community on buying over-priced items on Ebay knowing that Toys R Us and the Disney store would (most likely) get a stock back. I'd honestly talk to a manager about it to see if the Bolt toys are going on clearance. Having worked at Toys R Us it is impossible to know when something is going to be coming in but if an item is clearanced, it makes it pretty much official.

Our Toys R Us and the Disney Store have very little Bolt toys which is kind of normal following Christmas. They might dwindle down items until it's release just to stimulate sales. They also might (hopefully) release something new. I'm kind of hoping that they will simply because just a few Bolt plushies is not enough.

I hope this helps to answer your question a little.

This is good to know. I'm taking your advice on holding off on over-priced eBay toys. A part of me wants to shell out $35 for the one "used" Bolt doll on amazon, but I'm going to heed your words and my sensibility and hold off.

I remember you saying that the Wall-E toys were hot sellers, and I went to look at those toys too last night. All they had were Gopher (I think that's his name) figures and the Wall-E arm gripper.

Which $35 Bolt doll is that? The only one truly worth that is the large 30" one. If you go to the Disney Shopping site you'd only have to pay extra for shipping and handling, wihch is a lot more fair than what Ebay is doing.

I hope this helps. Is there a Disney store near where you live? That is the place that has the most Wall-e toys. Patience does pay off though. I was going to spend about $40 on iDance Wall-e but I waited and wound up getting him for normal price at the Disney Store.

I can't believe the price they are asking for the 30" Bolt on Ebay. $60? You can get that Bolt PLUS shipping and handling for under $50.

The $30 Bolt is a used 10-incher from Amazon, which is way too steep as much as I want that particular plush.

I do have a Disney Store in my area, and they're pretty cleaned out. Before Christmas, all they had was plenty of Mittens dolls and 2 30-inch giant Bolts. They're decent toys, but I like the floppier ones from Toys R Us better.

I bought the talking Bolt, and at first I thought it didn't work. The button to activate isn't right where the sticker is. It was a little to the left, kind of hard to find. They also might need a new battery.

Oh, where did you get the pic for your avatar? I haven't seen that one before I don't recall.

It came from the Read Aloud "Bolt" book. I think I scanned and posted a few pages a while back.

Oh yeah, that's the one I haven't opened yet. Still shrinkwrapped. I think I'll just open it to check out the neat pictures at least.
