Stubborn!

Well, after my very uncomfortable exam at the ob, i learned that i am about 75% effaced and not dilated at all. We still have our induction appointment on the 3rd, but i also have an ob appointment the day before so he can tell me i'm going to be pregnant forever. On the plus side, my right foot looks like some balloon animal a clown made. Hooray ( Read more... )

On the matter of the invite...I didn't get mine until the day before, even though the post mark date was like a week and a half earlier. Maybe it was the bow or something like you said. Anyhow, I wasn't able to make it - I should have called etc. so you wouldn't worry.

So are you birthing? I've been thinking about you.....sending all those, go into labor and avoid induction vibes.

Not yet, but if she's contrary like her daddy, it will be tonight when i am dragged out to Slaughtersville to help his mom with her a/c. Nothing makes babies come faster than scary roads much farther from the hospital than i like.

The thing that's going to help me here is if the ol' cervix gets its act together. If it doesn't soften or dilate soon, i will definitely be induced, but i might have to wait. I'm already going to be nearly 2 weeks late at my induction appointment, so i can't see them really wanting to wait, but they said if the cervix is completely hard and closed they may have to? I hear the scary 3rd option lurking behind those statements. No c-sections for me. Please?

Hey, would you like me to take your mom the clothes you let me borrow? I would like to bring them to you directly, i just don't want to have a baby on the side of the turnpike ;)

Oh man....A visit would be awesome, we hardly get any company, but I can see the circumstances are slim pickens. Maybe later this summer? We have a nice shady backyard, little pool, patio, etc. Maybe you could bring this man of yours I don't know.

I might be down the first week in June for a company picnic at the Omniplex so I KNOW by then you will have this little person. I can come to visit, bring you anything you need, etc. Do you need anything breastfeeding related or otherwise? A hand pump? A boppy? Anything? Encouragement?

Have they talked about the cervadil stuff? Stripping your membrances? Going over the due date sucks.....but ya I agree, induction is better than a c-section any day.

A summer visit would be nice and i bet i could even get Shane to come! Pending gas hasn't cost me my vehicle by then anyway :/

I would love you to come by if you are in town :) I don't know yet what i will need for feeding so far; i do have a pump, and all the necessary little doodads associated with it. I asked around about a Boppy, but was told they were either a hindrance or a nuisance. What did you think? Maybe they are worth shelling out $20 for?

I have no idea what the ob has planned; he tends to hustle me through visits so fast that he's out the door before i get all my questions answered. The last visit i made him come back in for more interrogation, but there are just too many questions i have over this that i can't remember them all, or even think of the rest. I ended up calling back later and talking to one of the nurses because i was still not sure if he would even try to induce Tuesday if Monday shows i am not at all dilated still. Visit before last i yelled (humorously frantic) at him, "do you know how many ( ... )

I don't understand this worry about having a baby on the side of the road ;)

Congratulations on the quilt!

Congratulations on spontaneous foot balloon animals!

This comment was on Friday at 8am. Still no baby?? Maybe they can do the cervix cream next time you go in. I bet Anna's just waiting until the weekend so everyone can come by and meet her. Also sending labor vibes...

I wake up often ready to scoot off to the hospital to have this kid, only i just end up going back to sleep :/

They will probably squirt some sort of goo on me when i go back on Monday. My naive little hope is that they apply their goo around 3pm, and at 3m Anna's all, "are you ready to never sleep again?! WAAAAaaaAAAaaaH!" Like some how she didn't get the memo that the goo is for the induction the next day. Yes, i realize i am being silly. It's genetic, i can't help it.
