As far as the home repairs, dude, talk to Ron - he's a wiz at that. For materials, have you considered looking at the Habitat for Humanity and other recovery stores here in Austin? Sort of a Half-Price Books for building materials. Jen and I also know of a couple of the refurbished appliance places around, if you ever need that sort of thing.
