There's a note in the instruction manual for these computer doo-hickies that says "use common sense."

If common sense is really so common, why would people need to be reminded to use it?

You'd be surprised by the ignorance of a lot of people.

As someone who is excellent with technology, I admittedly had minor difficulty adapting to the interface of Earth computers. Actually, I figured it out easily, but the point is that I did not know right away... There are people at this school who come from many places around the world, and some may not be familiar with machinery.
