so i cant play guitar for more than 5 minutes without the worst pain shooting through my left hand. im starting to get so afraid that i feel frantic. i talked to a doctor about it and he told me to stop playing guitar immediately because its carpal tunnel and hes never seen it get so bad in such a small amount of time. its not like ill ever stop

well if you keep playing, eventually your hand will paralize, and if your hands are that prone to it, chances are your legs are too, so watch out with the riding, when my dad was the sargent in the bike squad, one of the officers got that shit. BUT DON'T WORRY! it's all treatable as far as i know. the leg one has a different name that i can't think of off the top of my head, but it's the same thing, so first sign of pain and shit when you're riding, get it checked out.
