It's already 10 am when Chinen finally wake up. She turned to beside her and there is no Yamada. Remembering what happened last night makes her blush madly. Deciding to prepare herself, she takes a bath and going downstairs to dining room. She makes herself a breakfast before going to backyard and resting in there.
Grandpa Yusuke joined her not long after.
"What are you doing here alone, Yuri?"
"Nothing, Grandpa. I just want to enjoy the wind and sound." Chinen smiled.
"Ah, I know what you mean. We can relax here." Yusuke sit beside her in the long coach, and sip his tea.
"I didn’t see Ryosuke since morning, when did he go, grandpa?"
"Mmm, about 6 am this morning. He said he won’t wake you up, coz you're still tired after last night. "
"Last night?" Chinen flushed. Is he talking to Grandpa about them?
"Yes, your birthday party? And you just come from Hokkaido."
"Oh, yes, you're right." Chinen sighed in relief.
"And where he's going? Today is Sunday."
"He goes to Korea, he said he want to meet Mirai's family. They move there since almost one year ago. "
Chinen stunned. “Why Ryosuke wants to meet Mirai's family? Is something happened?”
"I don't know why." Yusuke continued. "He didn’t say anything. He says there are important matters, and there is something to do with Mika, Mirai’s twin. Hhh, that girl, from the first time she never gave up to get my grandson, especially since Mirai’s death, but Yamada always rejected her. Shida family have tried to makes her forget about her obsession by moving to Korea. I wonder what her actions this time. "
Chinen stunned by Yusuke words. Somehow the explanation makes her anxious. It’s true that Ryosuke never promised anything to her, and this engagement has been no certainty whether there will become official or not. Ryosuke and Yusuke had said that this is Chinen’s decision. But now Chinen feel unsure about it. What if Yamada refused this engage? Chinen remembers last night she said she loves him, but Yamada didn’t say anything, didn’t reply her confession. Chinen feels terrified. And she can’t blame Yamada for what happened last night, because Chinen forced him. She can only blame herself for all of this. No, she has no regrets about last night, but she regrets the words I love you accidentally come out of her mouth. Yamada now know her feelings and can use it as a weapon to hurt her. All these things make Chinen confused and scared.

Yamada already gone for 4 days to Korea. Chinen has never heard any from him. Yusuke said Yamada is often called him and ask how he and Chinen are, but he never called her directly. It makes Chinen more uncertain and hurt. For whatever reason, every time Yusuke asked him why, he always changed the subject, never mentioned it.
Today Chinen decided to call him. Maybe this is inappropriate, but she deserved an explanation, or at least greeting or whatever it is, who can calm her, who can make sure that Yamada is still concerned about her.
Chinen tried to contact Yamada’s phone from home.
"Annyong Haseyo ..." Instead of Yamada’s voice, she heard a woman answer it.
"Sumimasen.... Is this Ryosuke’s phone?" Chinen asked.
"Ah, Oppa ... yes, this is his phone. Sorry, Oppa still in bathroom. Wait a minute." She’s raising her voice, trying to talk to Yamada.
"Oppa, there is a call for you, from Japan. Oh, don’t forget, we have wedding dress fitting this afternoon. "
"Yeah, I remember. Tell him to call me back later." Yamada replied.
Chinen stunned to hear that. Oppa? Fitting? Wedding dress? The words kept ringing in her head. She immediately closed the phone, ran to her room and cry there.
It was dusk when Chinen finally stopped crying. She's already made a decision, if true grandfather saying that this engagement is all up to her, then, she will cancel it. Chinen can’t think clearly. The hurt feelings and being ignored by Ryosuke makes Chinen sure that he doesn’t love her.
She’s wonder what she would say later when Yamada back home, because like it or not they live together, but there was nothing he could say that could change her mind.
That night, after dinner Chinen expressed her intention to Yusuke. He’s very surprised to hear that.
"Are you sure, Yuri?"
"Yes. Grandpa said this engagement is up to me. If now I decided it’s better for me being your grandchild and reject this engagement, you're not going to force me, right Grandpa?"
"Of course not, I appreciate all of your decision. Although I'm disappointed you didn’t have any feeling to Ryosuke and decided to reject this engagement. But just so you stay here and be my granddaughter, I still feel happy. I will immediately take care of all needs to adopt you legally." Yusuke smiled.
"Thank you Grandpa." Chinen kiss Yusuke on his cheek, and went to her room, leaving Yusuke who still feel confused.

A few days later, exactly one week after Chinen’s birthday, Yamada finally come home. Chinen just out of the main door to go out when seeing him walk out of the car. She immediately hid behind a tree near her. She doesn’t want to meet Yamada right now. She's not ready. She saw Yamada walking while muttering something. He seemed very happy. Chinen heart ached to see it. Is that Mika who makes him such a happy smile? She thought.
It turns out I do means nothing to him. He looks happy, very different with me. My dreams still full of him. Every time I close my eyes, his smiles still ring in my memory. I've tried to not always remember him, to start trying to make friends with other men, but didn’t work. Chinen wince thinking about it.
This is the first time Chine didn’t tell anything to Daiki. That’s because Chinen don’t want her worried about it. Chinen try to always smile and happy in front of her. Chinen know Daiki has enough problems to worry and stress with all the preparations of her engagement with Yuya 3 weeks later. She don’t want to add burden to her friend.
'Well, sooner or later I do have to meet and talk to Ryosuke, but I don’t want to think about it now. Today I want to have fun with Yuto-kun, my classmate.’ Chinen determined and walked off into the park near her home, place where Yuto waiting for her.

Yamada, who is being happy to finally be able to meet Chinen again after one week apart, feels disappointed to discover that she wasn’t at home. He tried calling her but no one answer.
With a grim face he finally went to see his grandfather in his office. "Grandpa, you know where Yuri go? She not answered my call."
"Oh, you're home. What are you doing, at least say hello first before asking me anything."
"I'm sorry. I'm home, Grandpa." Yamada smiled. He walked toward his grandfather's and hugged him.
"That's it. Welcome home. And about Yuri, she had permission to go with her friend." Yusuke smiled.
"Oh, then better I call Daichan now." Yamada began open his phone, preparing to call.
"No, Yuri did not go with Daiki. She went with another college friend, a man named Yuto .... sort of." Yusuke shrugged his shoulder.
"What? Man? Only two of them? Has she forgotten that she has a fiancée? How dare she go alone with another man."
"Mmmmm .... actually Ryosuke, Yuri has rejected your engagement. A few days ago she told me that she prefers adopted by me and refused to become engaged with you. I also don’t know why. And sorry I didn’t immediately tell you, you said you were too busy this week and can’t be bothered." Yusuke said.
"That's all for Mika wedding preparations. But, how? What does she mean?" Yamada asked in confusion.
"You'd better ask her directly." Yusuke suggested.
"Definitely. I’m going to ask her." Yamada muttered before leaving the room.
Yamada spent the day pacing in his room. Waiting Chinen coming back. His room was in the front of the house. From the balcony he could see anyone come and go from his home.
Already 9 pm when Yamada finally saw a car stopped in front of his house. He went down and out to meet them. Chinen was seen talking with a man in front of the house. He went straight to them both.
“Who are you?” That’s the first word came out from Yamada when he reach them.
Yuto looks shock, and confused when Chinen answer him. “That’s none of your business.”
“What do you mean? You are my fiancée. How could you say that this is not my business?” Yamada shouted. He gives Yuto his death glared and tried to pull Chinen with him.
Chinen refuse to follow him. “I’m not your fiancée. And leave us alone!” She started push Yamada to stay away, but the latter still standing strong, refuse to move.
“You still my fiancée. No one can change it! Including you! And to you,” He pointed his finger to Yuto, who still doesn’t know what situation he involved in. “Better leave Yuri alone. Don’t you dare to approach her again in future!” After saying that, he suddenly tossed Chinen over his shoulder and carried her to the house.
“YOU!! Put me down!” Chinen hit Yamada’s back, tried to struggle with her legs, but Yamada absolutely too strong for her. “You barbarian! Leave me alone!!” He doesn’t react and even linked his arm around her legs, prevent her from moving around.
Yamada going inside his room, locked the door and tossed her in his bed. He pinned her under him, locked her wrist and face her straight in the eye. That’s when he realize that Chinen already have tears in her eyes, she silently cry.
“No, Yuri, don’t cry. Am I hurt you?” Yamada wipe the tears away and rolled over. He makes her sat up in the bed and kneeling in front of her.
“You’re hurting me, in here.” She touched her heart, start sobbing.
“What have I done?” Yamada asked her, holding her hands.
“Why you leave me alone that morning? You don’t leave any notes, message or anything to me. You don’t answer my confession. If you don’t love me, please, just leave me alone from now.”
“I’m sorry. Please, forgive me. I definitely want to wake you up, but, your face looks too tired. And I do answer you. I love you too Yuri, you don’t hear me?” Chinen shook her head. “I admit it that I’m a little shocked that time, but I do answer you after that. I said I love you too.” Yamada kiss her hands.
“Then why you didn’t calling me at all this whole week? You don’t give me any explanation why you must go to Korea. Do you know how much I’m worried about you, whether you’ll be coming back or not?” Chinen try to pull her hands away. Now anger replaced her tears.
“That’s my fault, I know. I’m too panicked at that time. Mika try to suicide. She refused to getting married and threatening her parents to forcing me comes and marrying her instead.”
Chinen stunned. Her heart stopped beating for a moment. “Are….are you do it? Married with her?” Chinen stammered.
“No, of course I refused. But I must meet her and convince her. I already meet her groom, and I know he loves Mika so much, and actually Mika love him too, but her obsession toward me still controlled her. I spend the whole week to makes her realize her true feelings, and to make sure the wedding still held by being her maid of honor and succeed.”
“At least you could call me once.” Chinen pouted. She knows Yamada told her the truth, and she can’t still held her anger any longer.
“No, I can’t and I won’t do that.” Yamada shook his head.
“Eh, why?” Chinen confused.
“Because if I hear your voice, even just a little bit, I couldn’t surpass myself for going back to Japan, to seeing you in front of me, to touch you again. You don’t know how much I missed you this whole week.” He’s holding her cheeks between his hands. “Your voice will remind me about that night, even though I never forget it. But I’m sure, if I heard your voice that time, it’ll only make me suffered for being too far from you.”
Chinen flushed. She feels the same, but with more insecure feeling that make her suffered.
“Do you still love me?” Yamada asked. “Or this whole week makes you change your mind?”
“People can’t switch off their feeling that easy, so, yes, I still love you.” She smiled.
“Great!!” Yamada grinned. He starts to kiss her when she pushed him. “What’s wrong?”
“Sorry, but I already told Grandpa to cancelled our engagement.” She apologized.
“Don’t worry. After all, our engagement is unofficial. From now on, you’re my fiancée and everyone will know it, including your admirer earlier.” Yamada smirked.
“Oh, don’t be stupid. He’s just my friend. We spent the whole day searching article in library for our task.” Chinen giggle.
“I don’t care. Do you know how many students using library for their date? They said they just want to study, but the truth is they spent the whole time courtship and flirting in that place.”
Chinen laughed. “Hahaha….you read too many novel. Or, that is personal experience?” Chinen raised an eyebrow.
“Me? No….I’m innocent.” Yamada raised his hands and shook his head.
“Really?” Chinen narrowed her eyes.
“I swear.” Yamada flushed. “Well, I admit I’m doing it. But!! Just once….or two.” He lowered his voice.
“You!!” Chinen pretending to angry and start pinched his arm.
“Auch…stop it!” Yamada hold her hands, try to stop her. He pinned their locked hand in her back and facing her, grinning.
Chinen’s lips caught his attention and make him stunned. He stares at her lips for a few second before whisper. “I want you.” And raise his head to kiss her.
He released her hands and holding her nape, preventing her from moving. He kissed her like someone who finally drinking water after been too long in desert. Groaning, he took her sweet mouth with his, delving deeply with his tongue and the pleasure of it drove him wild. He kissed her endlessly, sucking, stroking, devouring, while his hands cupped over her covered breasts, her round hips. The feel of her made him dizzy. He lifted her to the bed and crawled on top of her, his hands and mouth searching for her shirt, try to remove it.
“Mmmm..Ryosuke..stop, not now.” Chinen holding his hand, and push him. She sat back in bed and holding his cheek. Yamada looks confuse. “I need to shower first. I just came home and I feel uncomfortable. I want our night more special than before.” She smiled.
Yamada return her smile and stand up, pulled her with him to the bathroom. Chinen stopped him midway.
“What are you doing?” She asked him.
“I want to take a bath too, and you need someone to clean your back.” He grinned.
Chinen bemused hearing that. “No way! I don’t need someone who helping me with bathing. And I don’t want to take a bath with you.”
“Yuri, you do know that water is the most important thing for our future generation. We must saving it for ecosystem and for future. Why we must wasting it if we can being economical by taking bath together.” Yamada pleaded her.
“Hahaha….You care about ecosystem?” Chinen laugh. “Tomorrow I’ll hear you make a speech about save our earth.” She smiled.
“If that can make me join you in bathroom, I will do it!” He grinned.
“No need of that! Okay, you can join me.” Chinen winked.
“Yay!!” Yamada throw his punch to the air, making win pose. Chinen just laughed at him.
And taking bath together definitely can’t being economical for them. Because they need 3 hours just for bathing….or not?? Guess it yourself.

“I don’t care. Do you know how many students using library for their date? They said they just want to study, but the truth is they spent the whole time courtship and flirting in that place.”
Chinen laughed. “Hahaha….you read too many novel. Or, that is personal experience?” Chinen raised an eyebrow.
“Me? No….I’m innocent.” Yamada raised his hands and shook his head.
“Really?” Chinen narrowed her eyes.
“I swear.” Yamada flushed. “Well, I admit I’m doing it. But!! Just once….or two.” He lowered his voice.
“You!!” Chinen pretending to angry and start pinched his arm.
“Auch…stop it!” Yamada hold her hands, try to stop her. He pinned their locked hand in her back and facing her, grinning.
Chinen’s lips caught his attention and make him stunned. He stares at her lips for a few second before whisper. “I want you.” And raise his head to kiss her.
He released her hands and holding her nape, preventing her from moving. He kissed her like someone who finally drinking water after been too long in desert. Groaning, he took her sweet mouth with his, delving deeply with his tongue and the pleasure of it drove him wild. He kissed her endlessly, sucking, stroking, devouring, while his hands cupped over her covered breasts, her round hips. The feel of her made him dizzy. He lifted her to the bed and crawled on top of her, his hands and mouth searching for her shirt, try to remove it.
“Mmmm..Ryosuke..stop, not now.” Chinen holding his hand, and push him. She sat back in bed and holding his cheek. Yamada looks confuse. “I need to shower first. I just came home and I feel uncomfortable. I want our night more special than before.” She smiled.
Yamada return her smile and stand up, pulled her with him to the bathroom. Chinen stopped him midway.
“What are you doing?” She asked him.
“I want to take a bath too, and you need someone to clean your back.” He grinned.
Chinen bemused hearing that. “No way! I don’t need someone who helping me with bathing. And I don’t want to take a bath with you.”
“Yuri, you do know that water is the most important thing for our future generation. We must saving it for ecosystem and for future. Why we must wasting it if we can being economical by taking bath together.” Yamada pleaded her.
“Hahaha….You care about ecosystem?” Chinen laugh. “Tomorrow I’ll hear you make a speech about save our earth.” She smiled.
“If that can make me join you in bathroom, I will do it!” He grinned.
“No need of that! Okay, you can join me.” Chinen winked.
“Yay!!” Yamada throw his punch to the air, making win pose. Chinen just laughed at him.
And taking bath together definitely can’t being economical for them. Because they need 3 hours just for bathing….or not?? Guess it yourself.
