[Zhaneel has been keeping rather quietly to herself since her evening away with Lucas, choosing to focus a good portion of her time on scouting the area for any further sign of monsters that might threaten those of Vertiline

[Zhaneel tilts her head slightly as this new voice pipes in, unable to put a face with it. Clicking her beak once in thought she gives the gryphon equivalent of a shrug before responding.]
My tastes tend to run toward deer or similar, but I am fair enough with something as simple as fish or fowl. I am inclined to target whatever be preferred by my company ..
[Zhaneel nods again. In truth, she has not had fish in a good long while, although she is adept enough at catching them. She can manage the good old fashioned way with claws/talons and beak .. or with a crossbow bolt .. or even line and hook if the moment appeals to her (although the latter is the more difficult of the three to be certain).
There is a moment of curious head tilting as he last question comes through and she snorts.]
By no means am I even remotely human.
I shall meet you there!
[Airborne Zhaneel is airborne. Her crossbow, bolts and neck purse in place, the gryphon takes to the air and makes her way toward the river. Spotting an open enough area near its bank, she lands and shakes herself out before looking around.]
[Holy. Way to look super intimidating, Zhaneel. If he wasn't expecting someone, Ezra would dive down to the bottom of the river right now and stay there until you left. But you did describe yourself as 'not even remotely human', and you just spoke with a familiar voice, Ezra will assume your are the one he's waiting for.
But he's still going to be a bit wary. He keeps his distance, calling out to the newcomer.]

[Is it friendly? Really, he can't tell. But he starts his way out of the water anyway, albeit with his hand on his communicator, ready to teleport away at the slightest sign of danger. Never has running away been so easy.
He stops on shore (still at a safe distance) and regards Zhaneel carefully, eyeing her up and down.]
So how do you... [pause] ...fish.
[He had assumed the normal human way, but as you aren't even vaguely humanoid...]

Well, then .. I happen to find fish more than a bit appealing just now. Shall we meet by the riverside?

[Sounds like a plan, Zhaneel. Ezra is in fact already there, floating around in the river and generally enjoying the day.
But before he forgets, he needs to ask.]
You aren't human, are you? Because if you are, forget it.
