Name: Sabine Alshire (later is known as Sabine Alshire-Sanders after marrying Greg Sanders)
Age: 33.
Race/Nationality: Amestrian.
Date of Birth: December 21st, 1894.
Eye color: Blue.
Hair color: Black.

Physical Description: Sabine is a short woman, standing at five feet even and peach skin with black hair and blue eyes. She has mid-back length hair that she prefers to be up nearly all of the time, but she lets it down when she's sleeping. Her usual outfit consists of a white dress shirt that's tucked nicely in a pair of black pants, finished off with a belt. Accessories, which more often than not, consist of a pale brown coat that hits nearly the ground itself, a pair of black boots or loafers, a pair of white gloves that hide her hands and a necklace that rests in the middle of her chest.

Sabine used to have just a pair of automail hands and an automail leg, replacing her right one. Due to the unfortunate attack by Gluttony, Sabine had to forcibly sever her left arm and had to get it replaced with a custom-design automail arm that can only be recognized as automail with an x-ray. From her automail surgeries, she has noticeable scars around her right wrist, on her right thigh and on the left side of her torso due to incisions to put the grafts in.

During the colder months, she prefers to wear a heavy dark brown vest, heavier black pants and a much heavier coat to complete the look.

Personality: Sabine is a strong and independent woman, who nonetheless is sensitive about certain topics, such as death. Bringing this up will show that she feels responsible about what happened in her life. She is very sacrificial, following to the letter the alchemic concept of Equivalent Exchange, which she learned through her father. She has the potential to become a martyr, putting herself in danger to protect Horatio and the ones she loves. She has a lot of integrity and is very honest with both herself and others. However, she contradicts herself a lot and keeps things bottled up until they just explode. Whether or not this is intentional, it hurts the ones she cares about in the end.

However, Sabine is serious. This is all a part of how she grew to know life. She also feels an incredible burden from her family dying and her to be the only one, besides Horatio, left. All in all, Sabine is a walking contradiction with noble intentions.

Due to seeing how bad humanity and war can be, Sabine's cynicism and depression only got worse. She has acquired a sense of that war shapes people to be horrible that's only cushioned by herself believing that she dragged herself through the worse sin someone could do to someone else and that's kill another human being. Despite what people have told her that she had to do it and that she was protecting herself, she still blames herself for killing him and taking him away from his family. She also believes that she's soiled her hands with enough blood to last a lifetime, which hasn't made her PTSD any better. Couple that with the fact she has to remain calm and even for her soldiers, she pretty much has been falling back on bad habits to just smile the pain, hurt and depression away when she's only hurting herself in the end.

History: Sabine had a semi-normal childhood growing up in Xenotime, Amestris, but at the age of three, her father, Johann Alshire, began to teach her alchemy, much to her mother's dismay. Her father was extensive in his lessons and drilled it into her head alchemy's first law of equivalent exchange. When she understood this, her alchemy got better and around the age of seven, she transmuted her first big material -- bread. A simple loaf of bread, but it tasted delicious. She was extremely proud of herself and so was her father. However, as soon as she hit age eight, her father died from red water poisoning. She grieved a long time over her father, but halfway through, her mother became sick and was bedridden up until she reached nine years old. Her mother died from an infection of the lungs and Sabine was without a mom or a dad. She got extremely depressed at this point and was offered a place to stay at her Aunt Katharina's. She accepted it and moved in with them. Katharina's son, Horatio Alshire, who is Sabine's cousin knew how fragile Sabine was and tried everything in his power to cheer her up. Sabine was distant for a while and had good reason to be. She originally didn't want Horatio's help, but when she opened about her parents and other intimate details, Horatio knew just what would make Sabine smile and that was to make sure she felt loved and wanted in this world. Thankful, Sabine smiled for the first time after her mother and father died. The bond between Sabine and Horatio is quite tight because Horatio made Sabine swear to never keep too much from him, though he understood her need to be alone sometimes.

Everything up until this point went swimmingly, but when Sabine decided to do some alchemy by an abandoned factory at the age of ten, or so she thought... After she put the chain down, she did the usual transmutation circle and before she knew it, she was drenched with the poisonous and deadly red water. The red water complicated her transmutation by drastically altering the chemicals in her own body, which caused her hands and leg to blow up. When she came to, she saw the carnage and panicked. She attempted to get up and after many tries, she finally managed to stand on her one leg and hobble the way to her aunt's house. It was a tiring process, but when she reached her aunt's house, she collapsed on the front steps from the blood loss. Her aunt found her and was horrified at the sight of the her niece being covered in her own blood. She picked her up and had Horatio take care of her while she took care of calling on some automail specialists. When they said they'd take her in, Katharina was relieved to know that she saved Sabine's life. However, after the red water incident with her, she can never be around it too long or she starts to have violent reactions to the fumes and will start coughing before she gets really sick.

When Sabine came to, she was even more depressed than she was originally for putting her family through all of this pain when she didn't even mean to. She blamed herself for learning alchemy in the first place among other things. So, before her automail surgery, she was basically a sobbing mess. However, after Alexandrine Emmerich, her mechanic, as well as her aunt pulled her out of depression, she was more than ready to accept the automail and move on with her life. Yet, the surgery was extremely painful and one of the worse things Sabine went through due to how much the grafts hurt to be put on. Though, when she got done with the surgery, she went and worked it out before she decided it was time for a change of appearance, much to her aunt's disbelief. Though, at her house, Horatio snuck up on her and the two of them decided to make a commitment to one another. If one of them should ever die in battle, the other one stops what they are doing and goes to repopulate the Alshire name.

Three years after she got adjusted with the automail and lived on her prosthetics, Sabine's aunt got extremely sick and Sabine didn't want to lose her aunt, so she tried to go to various doctors to save her, however her attempts were futile and at the age of thirteen, her final parental figure died. Sabine was stricken with more grief than the death of her father and her own mother. She wanted to bring her back, however, at what cost? She didn't know any way to bring her back, so she reluctantly let the idea go.

At the age of fourteen, she decided to support Horatio as much as she could and took on a lot of small jobs, but eventually worked hard enough to get some money for the two of them so that they could pay off their house and other living expenses. Though, with the heavy taxation by Mugear, it was hard to survive. Sabine and Horatio actually made friends with the Tringhams for the first time in years since everything she was through. This was what Sabine called a "normal life." Through the Tringhams, Sabine learned about the Philosopher's Stone that was rumored to bring even original limbs back. With renewed hope, Sabine began to research more about this fabled stone alongside Horatio, who also wished to bring her limbs back.

When news got around that the Tringhams were calling themselves the Elric brothers, Sabine was confused. She never heard of the Elric brothers until they told her all about them. Slightly understanding, Sabine just went along with it until the actual Elric brothers stepped into Xenotime. When they arrived, Sabine was bewildered by their appearance and more or less very, very confused. She set out to get to know them as well as let them know about her situation. When she told Edward about how she thought about the Philosopher's Stone as well as human transmutation to bring back her limbs and her aunt from the dead, he yelled and yelled at her for even thinking about it in the first place and even went on to say what he did and paid for it. This proverbial bitchslap is what made Sabine realize what she was originally planning on doing was wrong. For returning her to her senses, Sabine was thankful for what Edward had done and she stopped her research along with Horatio's own on the Philosopher's Stone as well human transmutation.

Sabine joined in to the efforts to bring Mugear down alongside the Tringhams and the Elrics due to how the red water that he was producing killed her family, however due to her sickness, she had to take extra precautions so that she wasn't exposed to it for long due to what happened earlier in her life, such as putting a mask on her face. When Mugear was brought down as well as his red water, Sabine felt liberated and also felt that her parents' and aunt's deaths were avenged. This new feeling of being free was enough for Sabine to take all of the money she had with her and her cousin to explore Amestris.

While on her travels, Sabine heard about the State Alchemy Exam. Curious, she asked a lot of questions about it. Intrigued on how they could help her alchemy and her transmutations, Sabine settled in Central for a month so that she could study more about alchemy as well as gather more information how the exam worked. In a month's time, she tried out for the exam, and on her first attempt, she failed the exam, but didn't dare get discouraged by the results. Sabine decided that no matter what, she'd try for better results so that she could get her certification, so she decided to live in Central so that she could get more information as well as more research done in the area. By the time she was nineteen, she tried out for the exam again and had slightly better results than the first time she took it, however she still failed the exam. She still was determined to pass the exam, so she dedicated more time to her research and when she was twenty, she returned to take the exam and did better than before, yet she still failed the exam. Since her three attempts, she was called a hopeful by the officials who monitored and keep records of people who have taken the exam.

When it was her twenty-first birthday, Sabine decided to try one more time at the exam to see if she could make any kind of difference in her test scores. During her third try at the State Alchemy Exam, due to how much time, dedication and effort she put into her studies and practices, Sabine managed to pass both the writing and the practical part of the exam and she was given her State Alchemist Certification along side the codename "Bonding Alchemist" from the President himself. Elated and proud in herself for not giving up, she worked as hard as she could to fulfill her role in the military.

She primarily worked in the lab that Central had, processing and cataloging data and information that they collected and also was ordered to go to a few cities and towns that needed military assistance. Unfortunately, due to working for the military, Sabine was faced with discrimination and she was called either "Dog of the Military" or more affectionately known as "Bitch of the Military". These nicknames didn't deter her from doing her job and that was to help people in suffering towns and cities. However, on the way there, she ran into the homunculus Gluttony during a tour to a decrepit town. She fought him and ended up getting her arm eaten. Knowing she had to act quickly, she sawed off her own arm, then fled with her tail between her legs to the nearest clinic. Ordering them to help her out and get her mechanic, she stayed in the town while Alexandrine came and built her a new automail arm. She took some time to recover from this surgery, and then went back to work for the military.

Sadly, a civil war in Central broke out and Sabine took it upon herself, without orders, to evacuate citizens who were in their homes and guide them to safety. Yet, despite her efforts, Sabine was targeted by a civilian who had fired a shot. It grazed her and she immediately took action, leaving the citizens temporarily to deal with who fired the shot.

When she got there, she was the prime target for a group of them who called her unsavory names. She acted as any soldier would in the military and calmly questioned them, however this was in vain because the group decided to attack her. She tried her best to try to not fight them, however the confrontation got ugly fast and Sabine had to raise arms against them. Half way through, she was shot in the stomach by the civilian who fired the first shot at her. She nearly passed out, however she got an idea to use fire to seal her wounds off for the time being. She attempted the transmutation, and after many tries, she managed to stand up on her feet again. She knew she had to work fast, and so, she did another transmutation that caused the first civilian to blow up due to his chemical makeup completely changing. Shortly after this, the group dispersed and Sabine passed out on the ground.

She woke up in a hospital days later and the memory of how she easily killed the civilian burned deep into her head, and she felt like hell because of it due to how she didn't kill anyone directly in her life. She took some time to herself to recover in the hospital physically as well as mentally to do her job efficiently as she did before the civil war happened, which entailed a vacation back to Xenotime to see Russell, Fletcher, Alexandrine and the rest of her town again after being away from it so long.

Months later, Sabine returned to work and helped her new squad out with guiding them to the right answer, and due to her maternal instinct, her squad was happy to work for her and she was happy to be guiding them, yet she was strict in her policies. This happiness was short lived also due to how Dietlinde declared war on Central. She went off and fought in the war and led her men to fight also. During the fight, she was wounded again by getting shot in the side and also had her automail busted up. Yet, she still fought, despite the wounds she received. After this war, she was taken to the hospital to recover.

She is also very smart about a broad range of topics due to how much she studied during her childhood. Considering her automail, she is stronger than the average woman and she's very flexible. On that note, she is an excellent fighter who's able to go toe to toe with many people that she fights. She also has an increased endurance to pain due to her automail surgeries that required her to be awake.

AGUMON HAKASE

Agumon Hakase is a comical kind of Digimon. He does have his intelligence in him, however he speaks in Shakespearean tongue and even recites scriptures from the popular Shakespeare titles, such as Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth and Hamlet. Like Horatio, Agumon Hakase flirts a lot with women, well enough to call himself "a prince", "a knight" or any variation thereof, much to Sabine's displeasure because it reminds her too much of Horatio and how he annoyed her. He has a healthy thirst for knowledge as well as to read the books that Sabine carries around to further his intelligence even more.

Evolution line: Agumon Hakase -> KnightChessmon -> HolyAngemon -> QueenChessmon.
