Just a quick FYI. I'm in Japan, I'm having a good time, I'm safe and well and settled in just fine. ^_^

You made it! Congrats! I did the same thing in 2000 - loved living there but hated the job. Do as much travelling as you can and immerse yourself in the different lifestyle - the onsens are great!
