I heard that a bunch of my friends picked up poke'mon so I broke down a threw a little cash down for Platinum. But, now I'm torn Piplup is too adorable to evolve but, Empoleon just speaks to me. I'll have to trade him off to the kid so I can restart and have the best of both words.

Huzzah for having cake and eating it too.

Or you can just get a Ditto and start a mass breeding program for Piplup. On that note, I have a lot of baby Chimchar running amok...

You have to get pretty far in the game before you find the town with the daycare people (where your Pokémon might leave eggs for you), but you can trade with people pretty early on in the game. You knew you can now trade Pokémon over wi-fi, right? If you want all of the starter Pokémon for Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, just let me know.
