So Sirius is involved in the Shadow Game under the English king. I''ve sort of assumed this was set in the Victorian era or maybe that's just me projecting, because I love Victorian England? Mentions of uprisings in the Continent and even Sirius's seemingly covert investigations sort of supports this assumption, but I could be wrong. I only have the vaguest idea of World History. :P

Also, I love the formality of Sirius's conversation with the king (and even with his date in the previous chapter) as opposed to his bantering with James. :D

I love Victorian England too! It's just that I don't quite fancy the idea of delving deep into that era with research, so I made it loosely-based on the Victorian England era, with some modern elements thrown in as well. =)

ikr! I'm writing an R/S fic set in the Regency era, which I know nothing much about (except Napoleon and Georgette Heyer, lol), and so I took a way out and made it a magical Regency AU! It's interesting how you can play with history like this. Sort of 'What-if's and all, isn't it? :D

I'm loving the Victorian England elements and the anachronisms, and I see that you're a Kuroshitsuji fan, as well! No one does anacrhonistic Victorian England like Toboso Yana (telly in the Queen's time, imagine!).

yes! i love her work! hahaha. good idea, i look forward to reading your work too. =) hee. i think i would love to write a bit of history in, and maybe make an alternate timeline, but honestly it's just too much work for a fan-ficverse rather than your own original work. =P Well, good luck in your endeavors!
