I suspect I'd probably have very little in common with persons who choose to intoxicate themselves with tetrahydrocannabinol on a regular basis.

I ate way too many carrots. But, I'm not opposed to...being more well-balanced?

Carrots are good for you. They're rich in vitamin A, dietary fibers and antioxidants. Though it is indeed advisable to spread out usage evenly, as heavy overconsumption may cause carotenosis.

Carotenwhatis? Is that turning orange?

Carotenosis. Correct, it is the presence of pigment carotene in one's blood from excessive intake of carrots or other vegetables containing said pigment, leading to yellow-orange discoloration of the outermost layer of the skin. It's a harmless condition that will disappear on its own when the carotene consumption is discontinued.

Remind me to drop your gift round, later. Not getting into the other debate.

Don't feel obliged to acquire a gift simply because the Earth has made a full revolution around the sun and I've aged accordingly. Showing up for the party was enough.

I'm conventional. I like being conventional. While we're here, traditions are more solid than the notion the earth, or you, have moved at all.

Anthropologically speaking, it is true that holding onto the traditions and mores central to one's cultural heritage eases the transition and adaptation into a foreign habitat. Therefore, I understand and accept your reasoning.

It's usually hard not to in one of Angela's parties. I hope everyone else did, as well.

I'm sure Angela probably thought there could've been a few more strippers, but it wasn't too bad on my scale.

Angela and strippers do seem to make up the typical party equation.
