Concordia, Elpis. Outside Springs' Emporium of Stuff [Wednesday]

Ada'd spent most of the week handwavily camped out here, when she wasn't in class. The woman who ran the place didn't seem to mind, so long as Ada was up to her elbows in spare parts and was willing to listen to stories about the owner's pretty girlfriend. Who, to be fair, was really pretty, and pretty badass to boot ( Read more... )

Dante'd been spending a lot of time out on Elpis. There wasn't any shortage of monsters to take down out there; since other distractions weren't always working as well as they used to, he was happy to hurl himself into wholesale violence.

But now he was done for the day. Ready to go back-- to Moxxi's, to use what money he'd picked up fighting to buy a few cocktails. But that took him past Springs', which wouldn't have meant anything, but-- "Hey, I spot a mermaid on the horizon."

"Nah, you spot a mermaid sitting on her ass. She's nowhere near the horizon," Ada pointed out cheerfully, giving him a little wave. "Unless you been outside without your oxygen, I can't help you if'n you're hallucinatin.'"

"Mermaid can't be sitting on her ass," Dante said, turning to walk towards her, instead. He didn't stop until he was more or less looming over her. "'Cause I hear her talking out of it."

"Rude," Ada said, squinting up at him. Stupid tall looming boys. "'M a professional. 'M far too eloquent to talk outta m' ass."

Ringo's drone was broken. It was broken because it had flown into a tree with absolutely no input from her because it was a badly-behaving drone. Basically, it definitely wasn't her fault. She'd spent a few hours trying to fix it, but then had realized that she'd the drone had broken something she'd need to actually replace.

So she was wondering around town trying to find a place to find said parts. And, you know what, an "emporium of stuff" sounded like it might be a good candidate for that.

Then she spotted Ada, and decided she could shop later. "Hey! Ada!" she waved excitedly, a big grin on her face.

"Hey, Ringo," she said, wriggling her fingers right back at the other girl. "Explorin'?"

"Yep!" Ringo grinned. "And, well, maybe some shopping, we'll see."

She headed over toward Ada. "What about you?"

"Been playin'," she said, jerking her thumb at the entrance to the shop behind her. "Miz Janey likes to tell stories, an' don't mind pokin' around none so long as you clean up after yourself an' help out when she hollers."
