So, I just have to say...there is NOTHING wrong with wanting to be a mother. Parenthood can be one of the most respectable aspects of someone's life. For someone to look at me like I'm an idiot or like they feel sorry for me because being a mother is what I've always wanted to be, is an insult

I think your comment about women's rights was spot on. I'm pretty sure that if I had no choice but to be at home 24/7 (with or without kids), I would hate it. Just as I don't really like work sometimes just because I have to be there.

I also think it was really important for my mom to be at home when I was younger, and that she was a room mom and all that. I want to be able to do that for my kids.

(Even though I fully intend to go back to work part-time once the kids are in school. I want to be able to be there when they leave for school, and when they get home. But the day time will be grown-up interaction with the world time.)

In other news, I continue to be sad slash excited about your move to Blormal. I am just going to have to deal. This just means more sleep overs : )
